OK, first, Wifi is the connection from your device to the router. Cox doesn't turn wifi off. They can turn off service or have a outage that affects the service going to your modem/router, but the wifi connection is a separate thing. It's like the difference between there being no phone service and a problem between a cordless phone and it's base.
With that said, can you define the problem better? Is it only wifi devices? If so, can you still see your wifi network? If so, do you get a error when you try to connect to it? If it's wired devices too, what lights do you have on the modem/gateway? Is it a declared outage as seen here? If so, check your electrical service outage map for power outages in your area. Even if not your house, if it's near by where Cox infrastructure is, it can effect your service.
