During setup I setup the contour 2 box for 1080p and Dolby 5.1 within the setup menu. These settings work just fine but when I get up in the morning the resolution and audio settings revert back to 7...

What version HDMI are you using? Did the video and audio ever function differently before? What audio and video settings are selected for the input that the receiver is connected?
