Whose responsibility it is to replace the cable?
We’re in Hillcrest and Cox has been out and they say that the cable has been damaged between their box and my wall. Which of course runs through the walls. Has anyone had any experience with Cox and their association to figure out whose responsibility it is to replace the cable?53Views0likes1CommentMore than a month with unburied cables
Around the middle of August a Cox tech came to fix some internet problems we were having, in the process he had to unbury the cable that connects to Cox. He put in a ticket so the cables would be buried. It has been already more than 5 weeks, the cable is still unburied and the only thing that has been done is the planting of some red flags to mark the pipes. Communication with Cox hasn't brought up any information apart from "there is a ticket for it" and "No information". Is this normal? And how long does this normally take?29Views0likes1CommentTV channels
Half of the tv channels we pay for will not come in, we get nothing but a black screen, other channels always say temporarily off air. We have had a tech come out and the channels came in for about 24 hours after that it was back to the same problem. Anyone have any idea what the cause of this is.1.1KViews0likes1CommentCable Trespassing
Hi, There is a Cox cable improperly installed on my neighbors house, it runs across our property from the pole and is not within 15ft of an electrical box for proper grounding. Besides the safety issue here, the front half of our double is rented out and the cable looks bad, makes our place look cheap. I want it move (have been told its not a big deal) and have asked cox to do this multiple times over the last few months...Does anyone else have Cox cables trespassing across their property or improperly installed? We are planned to back charge cox the lease fee @100/ft per month.2.1KViews0likes1Commentexperiences good or bad with Right Angle F-Type (coax) adapters?
Partly because of the shallow shelves we bought to rest our Cox cable boxes on, and now mainly to reduce potential cable strain from the straight plugs used in the initial installation I purchased a 5-pack of right angle adapters from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H7KD4T0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Before I went and plugged them all in I thought it might be a good idea to canvass the users here to learn what, if any, negative or less-than-satisfactory results they encountered. Mainly, I've got my fingers crossed that there won't be any slight, noticeable or unacceptable degradation of signal when using them.1.5KViews0likes1Comment
