Cox not paying on time
I accepted COX mobile offer of an iphone 16 recently, whereby they make the payment each month on the phone. I was required to create a credit account with something called CITIZENS PAY to finance the phone at 0% interest. The payments are due the 1st of the month, but COX is making them on the 24th. So for 23 days each month I get hounded by CITIZEN PAY about late payments. I am afraid this will eventually affect my credit score report. When I tried to contact COX, I ended up texting with someone in India who had no understanding of how to correct this, and the CITIZEN Pay representative told me I have to get COX to fix the problem. I am a new Cox mobile customer with the Unlimited Plan and a new IPhone 16. I have been testing my 5G data speeds and my results are pathetic, always getting around 25M, and yes the phone is showing 5Guw with full bars. I have tested this at various locations and with actual Version customers also testing on their phones at same time and location and it is always the same, Version phone will get typical 5G download speeds of >400M and I always get around 25M. If I switch the phone to 4G LTE I will get typical 4G speeds of around 200M. Also, I did this day one so I had not gotten anywhere close to the 20G usage limit where throttling will kick in. I worked with Cox customer support over multiple days and their conclusion is that there is nothing wrong on their end and it must be an issue with the phone. I don't buy that, but to cover all my bases I went to Apple store and they ran all the tests they could and conclusion is that the phone is fine. Also, there is a particular Version store that I went to and when physically in that store I do get proper 5Guw data rates ( 400M to 800M) so I know it is not an issue with the phone. My guess is that this particular store has a 5G hot spot in the store which somehow bypasses whatever is causing my issues. My conclusion is that either Cox or Version must be throttling 5G data rates to around 25M, what else could it be. Has anyone else experienced this in the Phoenix AZ area? What test results are you other cox iphone users getting. If it looks like the rest of you Cox Mobile users are actually getting typical 5G speeds of 200M to 800M then I will accept that it must be my phone and push the issue with Apple but I seriously doubt that will be the case. It is unacceptable to sign a new 2 year contract and buy a brand new device to finally join the high speed 5G revolution only to to get speeds that are 10x slower than older 4G speeds. Is there any option for voicemail on a pixel 8 phone other than dialing *86 and checking it through the audible prompts? I used to get voicemails listed in the phone app but now I lost that feature. How is that possible? Cox Mobile is already missing so many features that I regret choosing it and highly recommend against it. Now I am losing features I already had? My 2 year contract can't be up soon enough. If Cox wants to actually have good mobile service, please reach out so that important features can be implemented. Greetings, I would like to get the account number and the pin number to port out for my mobile service with Cox. Will appreciate if someone can provide the information on how I can obtain the details. I am hesitant to call the customer service as they want to immediately cancel the service. Also, will the Port out PIN remain same for the life of the service? I am asking this in case I don't use it for port out now, but some time in future if situation arise. I have cox mobile connection and want to switch to iPhone 16. I got device delivered from Apple and called cox mobile to help switch eSIM for my connection. It has been 5 days and I even visited cox location but there is no one able to help to switch the device. Unfortunately there is no escalation or accountability. I placed an order for the iPhone 16 Pro Max on September 17, and the initial ship date mentioned was September 27. Three days later, I received an email stating that the new estimated delivery date is October 18. I'm disappointed because the ship date was initially given as September 27, and now it has been extended for over three weeks, with this being an estimate. Purchased iphone 16 Pro Max. transferred service from Visible with a iPhone 12. Unable to participate in group messaging wit a couple of contacts using Android phones. HELP. Cox said not on their end and to go to Apple. Cox said the group messaging is enabled. Cannot find this on the iPhone 16 Pro Max to verify.
