Bad experience
I’ve been with this provider for about 3 months now. At least 3-4 times a week the internet will go out for the entire day. The annoying thing is if you try and contact the company to let them know, you get sent to a computer that just sends you a link on how to restart your modem. Why can I not just get the reasoning for why it’s out not give me an excuse that it’s my internet.Zacharytmoore2 hours agoVisitor5Views0likes0CommentsCox Panaromic Gateway with Wi-Fi 6E vs iPhone 15 Pro Max
It is CGM4981 (PW8) model which I had it exchanged to the old one (PW7) recently. And , my iPhone was updated with IOS 18.0.1. And, the issue is - WIFI is lost when upstair (and iPhone was supposed to switch to AT&T data 5G as I expect) (1) I select to "Forget This Network" in order to re-elect the network/password sign in >>>>WIFI OK! At this moment, I notice that "Private Wi-Fi Address" is shown under Wi-Fi network. WIFI is OK at downstair with both "Private Wi-Fi Address" and "Wi-Fi 6E" are shown. But, WIFI is lost within a few seconds when upstair. To get the WIFI back, I perform step as (1) above. Any clues, please. References: My network setting is CGM4981 and Cox Wi-Fi pod at downstair; another Cox Wi-Fi pod upstair (this one will cover the Wi-Fi range)nhoang12 hours agoVisitor3Views0likes0CommentsCox workers using my water
Well apparently the contracted works, Versa Communications that has been work for Cox laying gigs last cable in my neighborhood thinks it’s ok to use the tap water from my house. I am the Willows Community in Gilbert Az. I know they used it at least 3 times since they started work in front of the house this past 2 weeks. So curious is Cox going to compensate me for the extra cost on my water bill? It’s bad enough they are always trying to find ways to get more of my money “data overages” or slowing my service to try and get me to upgrade.JcBriggs8 hours agoVisitor35Views0likes1CommentANYONE SWITCHED TO TO STARLINK?
Has anyone switched to Starlink? I am so unhappy with Cox and the price. Or any other suggestions? My area doesn't have any other options which makes it worse. I'm sure there are many people who would love to get rid of Cox. Any ideas at all. Thank you!!!cathy38838 hours agoVisitor30Views0likes1CommentAnother “unplanned event” (85747)
Welp, after a canned response of “please contact directly so we can better assist with your issue”, we again down without internet. Another 3-4hr delay. Another “we’re sorry, and understand how frustrating this is”. It’s clear that any attempt to get help or answers are a complete waste of time. Unfortunately Cox is the only provider in this area. They know that so they know we have to put up with the incompetence.Manny22 days agoNew Contributor19Views0likes0CommentsIs dual shield suitable for a simple indoor run from jack to modem?
Hey all, I've been a Cox customer for about two years now about. This is my first year of going the rout of owning my own modem, and buying my own coaxial cable for a custom size. The cable included in the initial connection kit is 6 foot, I bought a G-Plug 10ft on amazon and the G-plug is dual shield. After reading up on some tech specs of cable it sounds like dual shield is fine as long as it's not in an environment prone to high EMI. So far, i'm getting my normal speeds with the cable. I also think Dual shield works better in this setup over Quad shield based on the specs as it's helpful here to have somewhat of a more flexible cable. reference, here is the cable I purchased https://www.amazon.com/Coaxial-Cable-Coax-TV-Extender/dp/B08ZHBJZN1/iFrog2 days agoNew Contributor II16Views0likes2Comments
