MAC Address Filtering
Hi, I am having trouble connecting my wireless HP printer to my wifi. I enter the proper SSID and pass, and it fails to connect. the printers report says that MAC address filtering may be on, and if it is, I need to add the printers MAC address in order for it to connect. Any advice? Cox Assist has been less than helpful in 3 separate calls.lounsbery755 minutes agoNew Contributor750Views0likes6CommentsI'm a Very Disappointed Cox customer

Slow upload speed when using OBS for twitch
I pay for the 2 gig service from cox which is advertising as 2 mbps download and 40 Mbps upload. Download is great but my upload is literally a 16th of what advertised and its not stable, i unplugged my modem (PW8) turned off every device that is hooked up to my Wi-Fi turned off my pc and let it sit for 5 mins, plugged everything back in, after the router had started back up, Plugged in both my console and PC via ethernet connection. and still getting only 3 mbps upload, ill repeat my download is fine but my upload needs to be looked at, i don't expect it to run at 40 mbps but i know it could do 30. attached to this post is screenshots from twitch's bandwidth test in all they're allotted servers for obs to connect to, it shows the bandwidth, RTT, and quality of the upload to the servers, anything below 90 is not sustainable. i was under the impression that ethernet connection is taking priority over Wi-Fi connection. if further contact is needed other then this forum please email titanXXXX4@gmail.com. obs is the program used for streaming on twitch, as that is my second job. *Edited by Moderator to remove email address.HumbleGuyGaming2 days agoNew Contributor178Views0likes21CommentsCannot visit my own website on Cox wifi
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue where my website won't open when I'm connected to Cox WiFi. I've tried accessing it through different devices on same wifi, but the site is blocked with a message like "The site could be risky; advanced security has blocked access." The site loads fine on my mobile data through Verizon, so it seems to be specific to Cox. Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, what measures did you take to resolve it? Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Checked my website’s SSL certificate and confirmed it’s valid. Ran a malware scan using online tools, and everything came back clean. Cleared my browser cache and cookies, and tried different browsers. Reached out to Cox support but am still troubleshooting, but they will blame my server. I checked with my hosting support everything is good. Any advice or specific steps that helped you resolve similar issues would be appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.varunntaneja2 days agoNew Contributor37Views0likes1CommentEmail transfer help please
Since Cox dumped all it's email customers onto Yahoo I have had nothing but problems with unwanted porno adds and email not being delivered. What email service has everyone gone to which is secure, and does not contain adds? I have my gmail on outlook but you cannot transfer the cox email because it is now on Yahoo but not a Yahoo address to add to outlook.tfuertes3 days agoNew Contributor II33Views0likes2CommentsHow to change Reserved IP Address in the Port Forwarding menu on the Iphone app
On Cox panoramic wifi app on iphone, I can't find out how to change the Reserved IP Address for my device. There is no text prompt to change it. Also, is there any way to port forward on the computer so I don't run into issues like this? The normal way just tells me to get the panoramic wifi app.shelleyt13 days agoNew Contributor1.4KViews0likes5CommentsGetting 3% of my subscribed speed
I've been receiving 3% of my subscribed speed for months. I've had 4 tech visits. Even one visit the tech ran a new line and cut a hole in the wall for a new coax outlet in the house, which didn't fix anything. Having Cox as an internet service provider is an absolute disaster and terrible decision for home or business. My business unfortunately also uses Cox and we have the same issues at the office. The online support only knows to ask about WiFi and things every issue is WiFi related. All tests I run are from hardwired devices. The Cox app tests speeds from the coax line to the gateway, that is the speed I'm concerned about what happens to the speeds once leaving the gateway is my responsibility but it is coxs responsibility to at least get the speeds to my gateway which has not been done consistently since acquiring the service. Huge disappointment I have to deal with this EVERY SINGLE DAY almost every hour I have to reset the gateway/modem. If you are smart just get Verizon FiOS. I had it at my last house far superior in every way. I will once it comes to my area.bhaddercox3 days agoNew Contributor58Views0likes2CommentsBuffering, losing about 20m an hour
For the past 10+ days, Cox keeps buffering on my TV, computer, Phone all at once. It happens about every 5-10 minutes, and buffers for a few minutes. Over the course of an hour, TV shows end up about 20m behind. It's absolutely horrible. It's not just me, it's others in my neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods reporting through NextDoor App. They use different plans, so the solution isn't to upgrade to faster speeds.
