Can you pay a bill early? I don't see an option for that. Like, you can put in a custom amount if you owe $0....so I'm assuming that'll be applied for the next payment?

Basically what I asked in the question. Thanks for your help!

I don't know if Cox will do it, but most places will allow you to add to your Balance and then draw off that Balance as payment comes due.

  • Yes, it would work the way Glenee mentioned. Click on make a payment on www.cox.com/.../home.html and then click the box for "Pay a different amount" to make a one-time payment for a custom amount.

I know this post is from 4yrs. ago. Is there a limit to the custom amount that you can prepay to your account as a customer? If so, how much is the limit for this? In other words, if you wanted to pre-load  your account for up to 1yr. of service, could this be possible?
