We got an offer in the mail: Gigablast + Advanced TV + Phone for $129.99, which included free receiver rental and HBO. For an additional $10/mo we would get a 2 or 6 DRV, bringing the total monthly price to $139.99 (before taxes/fees/surcharges). We went to a store and double checked final price, fees, etc. and decided to order installation.
After installation we got the first bill and it shows monthly changes (before taxes/fees/surcharges) for $168.68. I wasted 1.5 hours on the phone and did not get a clear explanation for the price difference. They have no idea! Going back and forth between the billing department and the loyalty department, in the end I was told to go to a store and show them the offer to prove that the receiver and the DVR was included in the 139.99/mo price. Now I have to waste more time with a store employee that most likely is going to try to convince me that this is right. I think this is false advertising and I'm planning to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office if I don't get a solution.
Be aware of those Gigablast offers! Cox is misrepresenting and misleading with those advertised prices!
