fwiw, i hadn't mentioned that the app was required, just paying for one of the ultimate plans.

Streaming requires...at most...25 Mbps so why would anyone require a data plan at 12× this rate (300-500 Mbps)?
Furthermore, according to Peacock, its app requires only 2.5 Mbps. If Cox is actually fulfilling their obligation to the OP with 150 Mbps, OP could have 30 simultaneous Peacock streams and still cover the network overhead.
