how would they have gotten my contact list?
Did the trainers use the same email server? If so, I'd assume that server was compromised.
I used to get those types of emails from my Excite account.
No they did not. I think they were just personal emails
Besides being trainers, they had something else in common and whatever that is, it was compromised.
You are getting the primary spam (the phony email). If your account was hacked, you'd be getting lots of unexpected secondary spam from your contacts, such as real replies asking, "What is this"...or..."The link doesn't work"...or..."Laxislife, I think your account was hacked"
