Why doesn't Contour use buffered recordings???

The old DVRs would go back to the beginning of the show if you decided you wanted to record it after you started watching.  Anyone know if there is a way to make Contour do this? Seems extremely irrational to remove such a customer friendly feature...?

    Can you share with us Cox's rationale for removing this function when the technology/ability was available in previous generations of DVRs? Thanks.

    Hello,

    The Contour service does not have a way to go back and start a recording after the show has already started.
