Hi SunnyinOC24. If you are constantly having issues with your recordings, the last resort is to exchange your cable box. I know that this is very frustrating and this may not be something you want to do. We have no way to stop the software updates and if something happens to the cable box, replacing it is the only recourse. Thanks, Lisa - Cox Support Forums Moderator
