How to change Reserved IP Address in the Port Forwarding menu on the Iphone app
On Cox panoramic wifi app on iphone, I can't find out how to change the Reserved IP Address for my device. There is no text prompt to change it. Also, is there any way to port forward on the computer so I don't run into issues like this? The normal way just tells me to get the panoramic wifi app.1.5KViews0likes5CommentsPort Forwarding, Correct IP not showing up in Cox's website
I've been setting up a minecraft server for some friends and I am running it on a separate desktop. I've gotten all the way to here where you have to port forward using the IP of the device but it's not showing up. It's discoverable on the network seeing as how I'm tapped into it from my main Computer. It's frustrating that you can't put in a static IP on Cox's website. About to purchase my own router and not deal with this.729Views0likes3CommentsWeird notification on Cox App
Hello guys, I been get pop ups on my cox wifi app saying that " A new device Sagemcom has connected to your home network" Now I do not recognize that device at all, I googled that device and it comes up as a router for some kind. I called Cox multiple times and was told that they were not to sure what it is. Now I have reset my wifi pass and also did a default to my modem/router (I have the white gig blast one) after that was done I got 15 pop ups on the wifi cox aps saying that " A new device called BE31472D6EB5 has connected to your home network. They are all not the same numbers all 15 are different. They are not Mac address and I did verify that with reps from cox. Today I got another popup from that Sagemcom device again has connected to my network. All 15 pop ups on the cox app about devices connecting did not come in at the same time. I am not sure if my router is hacked or if this is a cox issue. The cox app has notified me about them blocking a website 4 times on 4 different devices 2 phone and 1 PC and 1 Pad. The website is called H.parrable.com. I never have gone to that website at all and from what I am seeing it is malware. Not sure what to do.2.5KViews0likes14CommentsSuggestions for down internet at same time every night?
Hi, I’ve had problems with my internet (50 mbps) either going out or becoming slow intermittently for awhile now and can often solve the problem with a modem refresh. For the last five nights my internet has gone down between 6-8pm and does not come up until the following morning around 8 or 9 am. After multiple attempts to get through to customer service with long wait times I was able to speak with someone over chat last night and after troubleshooting for an hour and a half was told they could not fix the problem but could see I had a problem. The only offer was to send a tech out for $75 that would stand outside of my door and tell me what to do to see if that would fix the issue. I have been down this road before and 1. I’m not paying for a service that should be provided as part of their contract for the exorbitant fees I’m paying for month in addition to the equipment I am renting from them and 2. My internet works fine during the day. This has been an ongoing issue for 5 days in a row now and is once again happening tonight and is extremely frustrating. Is cox turning off internet access at night? Is anyone else having this issue? Or can anyone recommend something that may help. I have manually unplugged and rebooted my modem. Unscrewed the cable, let it reboot. Powered down all of my devices and repeated the same process. It will not let me do a modem reset on the website now. It says it is unable to. It’s upsetting that cox is trying to make money on service calls for issues like this when they should be the ones offering a credit for the now 60 hours of time I have not been able to use my internet, but that is another issue of customer service. I would just like to find a solution to this issue.8.7KViews1like3CommentsRegular Download Speeds, limited to no upload speed.... any idea?
Okay, so here comes a very interesting problem. 2 days ago, my internet started acting up. When I ran a wireless speed test I was getting about 290mbps download (normal) then only getting .2mbps upload. It has been causing issues with my TV, computer, gaming, etc. I then thought maybe my router was acting up, so i disconnected my router and plugged in directly to the modem. Same results. Then, maybe it was the modem right? After talking with cox and 4 representatives later they told me to get a newer modem (even though the SB6190 is on their approved devices). I went to my cox store and picked up a modem for rent. Went home, plugged it in, same thing. I firmly believe it has something to with the physical line or the signals they sent or didn't send to my modem. I saw a COX van parked in front of my apartment a couple days ago. Is there something I can do while I wait for the tech to come out? I pay for 300 down and 30 up (i believe the up is 30), but i am receiving .2 for upload and the highest I have seen it cap at was like 4.5. Please help if possible.1.5KViews0likes3CommentsGigablast is not adding up.
Good Afternoon All, I had recently upgraded from the very basic internet to the gigablast plan expecting to not have any issues with browsing, discord chatting, and gaming. I was wrong! Connection drops off multiple times daily! Doesn't matter what time, I can't even play an online game without being disconnected halfway through a match. Friends always cannot hear me because I sound like a "robot". I have port forwarded for Destiny 2 and even discord and briefly experienced smoother connection. Until lately, which has just been atrocious. I am using the cox provided panoramic modem router and have contemplated upgrading to a third party modem and router separately. Cox is the only service in my area and I feel SOL. Please help, I feel like I'm getting completely ripped off here. Thanks, Andy1.1KViews0likes3CommentsUpload Speed Issues.
Recently I have been getting 1-5mbps upload speeds, which is causing lag in my games. I have had a Tech come out and try to fix it we talked about it and he said that it has to be something with the lines, so he scheduled a linemen to come take a look at it. This morning the linemen with his bucket truck was here and said there is no problems with my router or lines. he was pulling the speeds that I am supposed to be getting, he even tested it out through ethernet and he was pulling 180 and 10mbps. which is what I usually get. SO I do not know what to do. can anyone help me.
