How long do I have to watch a rented title?
My frame of reference is Amazon and Vudu where, prior to consenting to pay for a rental the user knows in advance not only how long in days they have to view the movie e.g., a week or two, but also the expiration date having begun to view it, e.g., 36 or 48 hours. For instance, say I agree to rent Wonder Woman or Bladerunner, and begin watching but get interrupted to the point where I stop or abort playback. Can I resume watching it within the next day or two?6.9KViews0likes4Commentscable-video-on-demand-temporarily-unavailable-v205-408-with-tivo-bolt - still continues
This problem with the Tivo Bolt having full access to VOD continues from 2 yrs and 3 months ago. I am having issues identical to those described in the posts (links below) for the last 10 days. In addition to getting V205 when selecting a program from My Shows, when I select a program I should have access to, within VOD, it either says I need to upgrade my subscription or simply plays the 90 second preview instead of the actual program. All the usual has been done including re-pairing the cards and eventually a technician replaced the cable cards to no avail. I am flabbergasted that despite this issue being elevated to tier 2, and a ticket being generated, the knowledge base available to the technicians do not reveal that this is a known problem or what v205 means. So I alerted the tier 2 manager about these posts, but she, not knowing what else to try, suggested that I use the forum to seek resolution. It was a good idea, but it is also frustrating that this is what it takes. Although it's a server problem, the posts don't actually specify what the fix was so I couldn't share it with the folks that I've been dealing with. I sure hope someone moderating this forum, perhaps Becky who handled the post from 3 months ago, can intervene and restore my access to VOD. http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/tv-forum/21725/cable-video-on-demand-temporarily-unavailable-v205-408-with-tivo-bolt http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/tv-forum/16709/cox-on-demand-is-down-for-all-tivo-users-nation-wide3.1KViews1like4CommentsDisable Netflix when searching On-Demand
I understand that many in the world have Netflix accounts but I do not and don't want to purchase one. Therefore it is really annoying that as I am searching through my on-demand that I am unable to filter out what is available on Cox on-demand vs Netflix. If anyone knows of a way to do that it would make my life and kids life easier than thinking there is a show available only to find out it is not.1.3KViews0likes1CommentCOX VERY OWN TV COMMERCIAL ADVERTISMENT CONSISTENTLY VIOLATING FCC CALM ACT
Why are the Cox commercials consistently so much louder than the other commercials? We have done all the troubleshooting one could do. Here is what i know. They have been doing this for years. It currently on the commercials they air and advertise to sell there very own services. So as a business owner if we could turn up the volume if we paid for commercials that were aired on cox cable, contour, or digital tv then this would be a slam dunk!! NOPE! IT IS ILLEGAL AND NOT FAIR. WHEN BABIES ARE SLEEPING YOU KEEP THE VOLUME DOWN BY THE PEOPLE WE PAY OUR TV BILL TO. WE OPERATE 7 HOMES WITH THIS CABLE PROVIDER. I will be filing a complaint with the FCC regarding the CALM Act. Please join me if you have experienced the same issue?1KViews0likes1CommentTivo Missing Cox OnDemand App
The cox ondemand app is missing from my Tivo Bolt. I have read that there is some type of code that needs to be added to my account for the app to appear. Can someone please check this for me. If it happens to be setup correctly, is there anything else I can do to get the app to show up. I have already restarted the tuner and the tivo, connected to the tivo service, unchecked and checked the video sharing and enable video downloads options in the tivo device preferences. Thanks in advance, Ben799Views0likes1Comment
