Upgraded NEW MODEM DOCSIS 3.0 but speed still caps at 32 mbps!!
Just recently upgraded my modem from Docsis 2.0 to Docsis 3.0 (motorola SB6121) but I'm still get speed 32mbps. I lived in kansas and I know cox just recently upgraded preferred customer from 25 to 50 mbps connection. Anyone having the same issue? From searching the forum it seems like most people having issue with old service code on their account.80KViews0likes429CommentsChanging Network Name/Password
I had a Cox Commctns guy come out here today & set us up- very helpful btw. But now I don't know how to personalize the Network name & password. I know you guys recommend not to do that, but it will make things easier for us. I've been looking around on this site for some answers, but nothing has worked so far. I was only given this little set-up guide. No official manual or anything. I have a Ubee. It is a DOCSIS 3.0 WeMTA. The S/N is: D484M13003917 What other info would you need to help me? There are a bunch of other #'s on this box, but not sure what's what. Thanks in advance! I'll probably call Cox in the morning, but just thought I'd ask here while I'm thinking about it.39KViews0likes1CommentUpload Speeds drop in the Evening.
Been having some issues as of late. in the evening the upload speeds drop considerably. to the point where my sons can not game online on their ps4. bought a new modem and new router thinking it would solve the issue. then we upgraded to the ultimate package at 300/30. sometime around 7pm every night the upload speeds drop and come back around 10pm or so. all other times speeds seem to be fine. what could it be? have had a tech out and he changed all ends on the cables and signal tests were good at that point. issue still hasn't been resolved. requency start Value This field below allows you to modify the frequency the cable modem start with its scan during initialization and registration. Hi all, I have the Ultimate package and my internet speeds are very slow ~20-22 upload and download. Purchased a new modem which is listed on the Cox Certified Cable Modems page and had Cox cable run new cable from the pole to my house with very little change in my speeds when tested. All testing is performed by directly connecting to the router and not using the wifi. Other test I changed out the cat6 ethernet cable and retested with same results. Listed below are my specs on my setup. Just not sure if my connection issue goes beyond the pole or on my end. Any input would help. 1. Netgear - Model C6300 / DOCSIS 3.0 / 16x4 channel 2. Lenovo Thinkpad / win10 64 bit / 16 GB memory 3. New cable from pole to my house thanks, Abom13KViews0likes0CommentsDoes Cox support any DOCSIS cablemodems for Ultimate (8 channel) that also have 2 telephone lines (2 RJ11 jacks)?
I don't want a gateway (no WiFi), and I would prefer something a lot newer than the 2.5 year old bulky Cisco DPQ3212, Cox's listinghere, Cisco's listing here. See alsoChoosing the Right Cable Modem - Cox Communications. Note that theDPQ3212 is missing from the Cox Compatible Cable Modemslist. I'd prefer to have Arris/Motorola like functionality at http://192.168.100.1 with logs I can view myself. I have occasional issues that are easier to track myself, without having to call Cox every time. Do you have anything newer to offer me, for my Cox Residential service with Ultimate internet package, and 2 phone lines? I'd rather self-install, especially if it doesn't mean paying a monthly fee for the modem, but I first just want to see what you'd support besides the DPQ3212, if anything. Thank you!8KViews0likes5CommentsHigh Uncorrectables: Cox Moderator Needed
I've been having issues with my Ultimate recently, and think it may be narrowed down to Channel IDs. When reset my cable modem's configuration, it used different channel ID's for my downstream that allowed my Internet to blaze. However, moments later it switched back to the channel IDs that keep giving me issues. Screenshot below. Is a Cox moderator able to access my account, and change my Downstream Frequency? When my cable modem connects to this frequency and upload channel, the high uncorrectables come back into the millions (check account notes). The Downstream Frequency screenshot is attached below.7.4KViews0likes14CommentsCox Premier Only Downloading 36 Mbps
I recently upgraded to the Cox 50 Mbps (Premier) from 25 Mbps (Preferred) in the Manhattan, KS area (66502). I am currently only attaining download speeds of MAX 36 Mbps and upload speeds of MAX 12 Mbps according to Speedtest.net. I've tested this via a Macbook Pro hardwired directly to the modem, as well as wirelessly through an Airport Extreme base station (5th Generation). Furthermore, I utilize a personally purchased Motorola Surfboard SB6121 with the latest firmware pushed from the ISP, so DOCSIS 3.0 isn't the issue. Any suggestions?Solved6KViews0likes5CommentsZoom 5350 Wireless Issues
I've been having terrible wifi issues with the Zoom 5350 set up - IP Flood detection is off, channel set to auto (or I select a channel that doesn't have too much overlap, it works for a bit), and I reset every so often just to get it to work. Location is fine, only about 1,000 sq ft, works fine when I'm in the same room, but move on over to the next room drops low if not recognized at all. What ideal settings can I use? Should I add an external wifi router? Completely frustrated.5.3KViews0likes4CommentsCisco DPC3825 Only Getting 54MBPS
Hello Customer Support, I am located in Orange County and I have my DPC3825 configured for B/G/N Mixed mode. While sitting next to the wireless router, I can only get 54MBPS on my laptop. I know that when I am at work or others' houses, it indicates I am connected at 130MBPS. Can you advise what is the best configuration details to get back to at least 130MBPS? My current settings are: B/G/N Mixed mode. 2.4GHz Band. Auto Channel. Everything else is default. *** Lastly, my wife's VPN continuously drops out every 5 minutes connected through this router. Any suggestions? Thanks very much, -king kong4.8KViews0likes11Comments
