Every day since then, I get ridiculously low download speeds of 5-10MBS in the evening (after 6 PM) with the D/L speed picking up gradually after 11PM. Mornings or during the day, the speed is as expected (around 100MBS) All my tests were done with a couple of laptops wired directly into the modem (Arris Surfboard SB8200), no router was involved. I'm pretty sure that the modem is not the problem otherwise I'd have the same experience during the day. What could cause this? I live in a condo and I think that thewiring is split between the 4 adjacent apartments. Could it be that a neighbor (or more) has recently signed up for the Gigablast and is literally drying up the bandwidth before it gets to my place??? SolvedOverpaying for internet speed I have started in December with 30mpbs download speed - but I was only getting 2 or 5 mbps and occasionally a range up to 20mpbs Made an upgrade to 150 mbps and sometimes I get 20- sometimes 60.
