Intermittent Lag Spike
Hello Everyone, I have been receiving intermittent lag spikes while browsing the web, gaming, and watching movies. This is all coming from various computers, phones, and other devices in my home. I managed to run a tracert to 8.8.8.8 (google) when this occurred and found that my latency was over 100ms. Pinging google showed the same thing as well. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. I am using the supplied modem from Cox, but I would like to make sure this is the problem first before replacing the modem. I have had this modem for almost 7 months and I am just now experiencing this issue.429Views0likes0CommentsAvailable Date - On Demand Movies website does not match On Demand Movies via TV

I have a Samsung "smart tv", and a Tivo, both are connected via wireless to my internet service with Cox. Both, are super slow, lag, or quit on me, telling me my internet speed is too slow, or my connection is lost, etc. This happens when I am using Netflix, or Amazon Prime to watch movies (or tv episodes). And it happens whether I am streaming through my TV or through my Tivo. Only one is used at at a time, no other wireless is used in my house while I'm trying to use the TV/or Tivo. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can fix this? (do I need to upgrade internet speed, buy better wireless adapters for TV and Tivo; connect directly to modem??? or anything else?) Please help!5.6KViews0likes3CommentsMovie Ratings and Closed Caption
I admit that having more storage space and the ability to record more than 3 shows at one time is a boon. BUT, it seems like it comes at a price and we do not like it. First, the Movie Ratings are gone. What? Also, the closed caption on the remote does not work. We have to go through a 3-4 step process to actually turn it on. I've seen other comments in the TV Forum from other Customers who feel the same way. We know this capability exists because it existed in the older system. So get Cisco / Contour / Cox, whoever, to implement these fixes right away. Take a step forward and then a step back. We are in the same place. Lacking service. I was visiting my brother in Las Vegas and he had Direct TV. Whoa. Nice.2.6KViews0likes1Comment
