Cannot connect using Outlook 365 on Windows 10

Since the recent Cox email "maintenance" I am unable to connect to the cox server using Outlook 365 running on Windows 10.

My server settings are;
Incoming - imap.cox.net Port 995 SSL/TLS. Outgoing - smtp.cox.net Port 465 SSL/TLS. Error message - Error (0x800CCC0E): Outlook cannot download folder inbox from the IMAP server. Also Error (ox800CCC0F)

Outgoing - smtp.cox.net Port 465 SSL/TLS
Error (0x800CCC0F) - The connection to the server was interrupted.

I have researched and tried all solutions with no success. Has anyone else solved this?

  • I fixed it! Somehow the password had been changed. Not sure how. When I tried a newer password that I have been using in other apps it worked. My bad!

  • @Tigerll, Are you able to access your email through our website at cox.net? Also, please power cycle the device that you are trying to access your email with. -Allan, Cox Support Forums Moderator.

      Yes, I can access my email through the website and also from my Galaxy phone (using Outlook). I have restarted my PC several times with no change in the Outlook behavior.
