I know how frustrating it is to have a modem that makes too much noise. If you don't mind me asking, which model of Panoramic modem do you have? Also, you can always use your own equipment if you so choose. Below is the list of compatible modems with our service.

I have the Technicolor CGM4141. Do all of the units make a lot of noise?

As you may know, different people have different levels of tolerance for sight/sound. I would suggest getting it swapped out for the newest Panoramic Wifi model, the Technicolor CGM4331. You can try that one to see if the sound fits your personal comfort level.

What's in a Panoramic to make any noise...a fan? Isn't its power supply on the cable (wall wart)? Is the Panoramic full of vacuum tubes and pumps?
