The sequence of CM-STATUS Code 16 followed by Code 24 doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. These codes are used to track the number of correctable errors on the OFDM channel and it's normal to have a lot of correctable errors on OFDM. Only uncorrectable errors will cause packet loss or speed issues. But I have noticed that I start seeing more of these CM-STATUS Code 16 messages before bigger problems occur so maybe it's a sign that things are starting to degrade on the cable network.
The real problem in that log is the T3 timeout. This will cause problems with speed and packet loss. A lot of people have been reporting this recently so I wonder if Cox is having a widespread issue.
