From what I witnessed in my neighborhood, ground was marked first (utility companies spray where existing service lines are). From this point it took 3 months before the box (that as you note says broadband) was installed in the ground. During those months though, they were installing the conduits to get the fiber towards their existing pedestals. My understanding is the boxes allow access to the newly run conduits to more easily run the fiber wires. From the point the boxes showed up it was about 8 weeks before the website showed the fiber package as available for me to order. In those 8 weeks though, they were working on terminating the fiber connections at whatever points they decide need connecting (in my case that was the existing pedestals). I imagine there might be some variation in timing with the layout of the houses on the street. Also - I waited until the website showed availability, but I suspect I might have been able to go to store / call them to get an order placed earlier (might have saved some weeks). Finally - from the time I ordered over the phone, it was installed in just over a week (scheduled at my convenience). I believe there's already been some posts about installation logistics in this thread, but it took about 3 hours for my house.
