Why not buy one? A decent D3 modem is about 99$ and a good wireless router is about 125-50$. That pays for itself in about 2 years. At that point you could decide to either upgrade one part of your network or the other. A gateway combines both so you have to upgrade both to upgrade either.
Also, with Gigablast, the ONT is free with service and they give you a free AC router with the install. So if your in the area, its a lot of bang for the buck. When DOCSIS 3.1(D3.1) goes live, Gigablast will start being offered over Coaxial. You will just have to buy a D3.1 modem and then provide any wireless router you want. It would have to be 10/100/1000 compatible and I would suggest AC.
