I just filled out that form. Thank you. There is Gigablast now being offered in RI, specifically in Providence, but it is very narrow footprint. I currently live in southern RI, in a area with little to no new construction, so I do not think Fiber will ever be coming down here. I am holding out hope for Gigablast via DOCSIS 3.1. Does anyone have any info on when this might be available in RI, AKA New England?
Also, the Netgear CM1000 and Arris CM/SB8200 should be coming out this year, capable of 5Gbps/2Gbps with DOCSIS 3.1. Will Gigablast also be compatible with these?
Last, currently there is the Arris SB6190. It is a DOCSIS 3.0 only modem, but is capable of 1+ Gbps speeds. Will that be compatible with Gigablast?I have the feeling the answer is no, but was looking for confirmation.
