Every time I ask someone at Cox where Gigablast has launched, they always tell me "in some areas of Las Vegas.”
First, they don't plan everything out ahead of time. Second, exact roll out schedules are proprietary to help against competition. Third, the people that plan the roll out are engineers. No one here, or almost anywhere you can talk to, are engineers. Representatives only know what they hear on the grape vine and even then they are reluctant to tell what they hear because they don't know if it's accurate and don't want to set a precedence for giving out that info. Heck, I know people that work high up for Cox and even THEY don't know the exact schedules. I am in RI and the closest I could get was sometime this year.
The Gigablast website should be more like the Google Fiber one. On the Google Fiber website, they list all the apartment and condo buildings that have fiber installed, and the ones that are scheduled for fiber installation. Of the 10 neighborhoods listed, 62 buildings have fiber installed and 592 are scheduled for installation. They list the building names and addresses for all 654. And, Cox can’t even tell you which areas in Las Vegas/Henderson Gigablast is installed. All they tell you is to check your address on their website.
