Will there ever be a data usage meter available for Gigablast customers? A couple points come to mind regarding this. First, if Gigablast accounts have a 2TB cap, then this must mean that Cox has the ability to track an accounts usage. If this is possible for Cox to track, then why can't the information be presented in the customer's account? If tracking is not possible, then why bother advertising a 2TB cap?
Second...having a meter that the customer can access is one tool to be able to diagnose issues and locate problems. One being able to determine if someone may be hijacking your wireless. If a person sees that a relatively high amount of bandwidth was used for a given day, but the customer knows that they didn't use an excessive amount on that day, then the customer would be 'alerted' to a potential problem. Also, if a customer were to see a spike in usage, but it shouldn't be happening, this could also alert the customer of possible malware/spyware/virus. I actually had this occur a few months back (prior to having Gigablast), and the usage meter was what alerted me to 'something' being wrong and I discovered the problem and fixed it. :)
