I have recently installed the Gigablast in Ahwatukee, AZ. Cox provided a Netgear A6200 USB WiFi device for my Dell XPS I7 desktop, since I only had 802.11N installed. The computer is in a study about 40' away from their provided Netgear router 6300v2. I was able to get ~ 300/240 Mbps and thought that was due to the USB 2.0 interface limitations. I bought a A6210 WiFi USB 3.0 device and thought I would get much better speeds. It appears to have gotten slightly faster ~320/250 Mbps, but that is about it.
Is this about the limitations of Gigablast WiFi? Will a range extender help this situation at all?
