Gigablast has literally been an up and down experience over the past year. Initially, I got about 900 down and 930- 940 up as checked on the Cox.com speed test. Now I get between 750-800 down and only 200-215 up measured on the Cox site. However going to Ookla's speedtest.net, I get 600-800 down and a consistent 935-950 up. Comcast Business Internet Speed Test shows 550-750 down and 900-930 up. Cox's position is that their website has the most accurate speed test. If that is true, then my down speed has gone done 25% and the upload speed has decreased 75% -- all with no computer or network configuration changes!!
On the plus side -- Cox Tech Support (especially Tier 2 Gigablast) has been OUTSTANDING. They have been most patient in running several tests and had many good suggestions. They cannot explain the speed changes but have scheduled a technician to come out tomorrow. Strongly suggest giving the Tier 2 support folks a chance.
I am not an employee of Cox -- not particularly pleased with Gigablast but very pleased with the efforts of Gigablast Tech Support.
