Thanks for the feedback. I'm okay with the speed, I think in general Cox gigablast performs extremely well. One thing I will say about the router provided by Cox is that I feel the router itself is rather inadequate to handle the gigabit speed (and might make Cox look bad indirectly). As I discovered this the first first week after using the router provided by Cox. In the default mode (with no additional functions turned on) the router functioned extremely well, hitting the cox advertised spend and all. But once you enabled additional functions on the router (e.g., record total data in/out) the speed will drop to half. I found out about this after having a Cox tech coming out to the house and do a hard reset on the router. My conclusion is that the router is simply not powerful enough to handle the gigabit speed, as well as the additional functionalities.
