NO SERVICE AGAIN
Man I am getting really tired of paying Cox for internet service and NOT HAVING CONSISTENT SERVICE MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK.
Multiple times a week your Internet service goes out? When your service goes out, do the lights on your modem look different?
What does it mean when all the lights on the modem and router are normal, but the internet is not there?
Probably an issue with the device trying to connect to the Internet. I understand you've been troubleshooting a lot of lately but you've only been using 1 router, right? If you changed a router setting, you'll either need to undo the change or update your devices to match the change.
If I changed the router setting, it was by accident, since I wouldn't know how to do so. I think I reset the router once, though. As I said in another thread, however, since posting my first issue here, there has been no more Cox outages of any type.
You Factory Reset the router? If so, you reset all your customized settings to include your network name (SSID) and password (encryption key).
If you Factory Reset, log into the router via the credentials on the sticker on the bottom of the Nighthawk.
There are some other things in the router to change...if you did reset it...but we can address this later.
