Promised -vs- actual internet speeds

I'm just curious what others are getting out there for speeds and what plans you're on.

I've got the 500/10Mbps plan. I check speeds when things are slow. I've never gotten above 100Mpbs down, and it's usually around 50-100.

Upload speed is pretty steady at 9Mbps.

I understand I can't expect 100% of the plan's speed all the time. But shouldn't I be able to expect more than 10% all the time?

    How are you speed testing...directly to the modem or through the router?

    I have same plan, I get 500 in morning and evening but during the day, it's varies from 150 to 350.  Internet traffic and bandwidth sharing at busy times.
