Service down all weekend

I pay Cox for fast internet but service has been down since Friday night. Called service department and the rep starts by peddling their equipment saying foe extra charge each month you can have great internet speed. I tell him I have zero internet now and to stop trying to sell me equipment I don't need. He then hands me off to another person who says internet out and we think it will repaired next morning. It's now Sunday still no internet. I have remote work to do so rep says go find a cox hot wifi spot that you can log in to. My work involves confidential information about clients. Having their information sent to a public wifi spot that someone can monitor could get me fired. Cox does does not realize how vital their service is in today's digital world.
