Here is a warning to anyone using a TP-Link A21. There is a known Mirai exploit for the model and while there is a patch, it doesn't fully fix the problem. See article below for more info. If you have one, I suggest buying a new router.
Mirai is predominantly used against IOT devices, if it's being altered to affect/infect routers, this is a problem.
Do you think it will effect other TP-Link routers or is it isolated to that model?
Depends on how other devices institute wan side security. I would be more inclined to worry about Chameleon android exploit, Rorschach ransomeware, Rhadamanthys info stealer, and LockBit ransomeware.
