Hello, I am very sorry you have not had the best experience with Cox. I understand how important communication and reliable service is. We value your business, and I would be happy to help. Please email us your “full” name, “complete” address, and a copy of your post to Cox.Help@cox.com for further assistance. Thank you!
JulianN,
I believe that the technical issues are only a part of the problem folks are experiencing. The larger problem here is that COX has dumped our email service off to a second rate provider that wants to charge us for technical support and cox technical support has simply abandoned their former customers. In addition, Yahoo's online service blocks part of our viewing area with adds (unless you pay extra to get rid of them) and has limitations and performance issues that we never had with Cox. After doing a little research I also see that Yahoo has a history of massive data breaches and is considered one of the most hacked email service providers. Based on how COX has handled this transition I have totally lost faith in COX as a service provider. I am currently evaluating other service providers for my remaining Internet, phone, and cable TV needs. I no longer trust COX.

Hi SteveG1,
I completely understand how frustrating it is whenever there are issues with transitioning your email services from Cox Web Mail to another email service provider. The forum members are here to help you and you may also reach out to our technical support 24/7 via Live Online Chat: https://www.cox.com/residential/contactus.html or through CoxHelp, Facebook, or by calling us at 1-800-234-3993.
We want to make the transition as painless as possible. You also have the option before transition to choose not to transition, however, if you would like to retain your content, you will need to move your data to another service provider or download your emails before your transition date. There are free and paid software options available to help you archive your email content for storage. If you choose another provider other than Yahoo you will not have the cox.net address anymore unless your choice of email serviceproviders will allow for it.
I hope that we can regain your trust even if we are no longer providing you with email service.
Thank you,
Mike

No, you don't. Yahoo is the single most frustrating email service I have ever used. EVER. It's user-unfriendly, a pain in the butt to login, and it's as secure as using chewing gum to lock something.
Also, love the "Go kick rocks LOL" response.

Are you surprised? I'm not disappointed, I am completely and thoroughly disgusted. I can't even add one of my cox emails to Yahoo because Cox doesn't have the right security.
