Hi macomar,
The DPQ3212 is still used, as it allows 8x4 channel bonding with speeds up to 150 Mbps on a wired connection. The equipment installed at a particular customer's home would vary, as this is based on the level of internet services they are subscribed to. If the customer subscribes to a service beyond Preferred 100 (or the Grandfathered Premier plan of 150 Mbps) and they have telephone then the DPQ3212 would not be positioned in the home. The great news is the DPC3212 has an average usage of 9.60 watts. Hope this helps.
