Volume rises suddenly after TV has been on for five minutes or so

How do I turn off the annoying volume rise after the TV has been on for a while?  It come out of nowhere.  Aggravating!  I want the volume to stay put.  Always.

    Hi Carlosaro, this is not a normal occurrence. Does this occur only on certain channels? Does this happen while watching On Demand or live TV? Do you have a soundbar? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator

      Live TV, no sound bar.  Maybe it's a built in feature on my Sharp Smart TV?

        Does the volume increase during commercials? It's quite possible this could be related to your television. To be safe, I'd recommend reprogramming your Contour 2 remote to the television, http://bit.ly/2Yo0B1t. If the issue persists, you are welcome to exchange the remote at your local Cox Solutions store, free of charge. If that doesn't resolve the issue ultimately, then I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. Their contact information is listed below:
