When did pause and rewinds on live TV stop happening?

Hello.   I just noticed today that I can't do a pause anymore when watching live.   And I can't do rewinds anymore.  It gives me a message saying that my set up box doesn't support that.   When did this start happening because I had no issues before.  I didn't get a new cable box.  I have a release version 183.1.1 Contour TV box and had it for at least 2 or 3 years.   Did they make a software change last night or earlier today that stopped this?  Is just a cheap attempt to make me get a more expensive box and erase all of my DVR recordings again

    Record a minute or two of something just to verify you still have DVR service.  Assuming you still do, your issue could have been caused by a signal issue.  When you press a key on the remote, a signal is sent to a Cox server which sends back a reply.  If you had a disruption in your signal, your receiver may not have received the reply which would trigger the pause or rewind.

    There have not been any changes that we are aware of, if you are subscribing to dvr service that should definitely work. I would try a manual reboot by unplugging the power first to see if that makes any difference and if still experiencing trouble, email us at cox.help@cox.com to take a closer look.
