Port Forwarding Login Timeout
I have a new modem/router from Cox Communications. It is a Netgear model configured for Cox. I am trying to get my Security Camera DVR back online so I can view cameras onmy iPhone app.Using Netgear Genie (V2.05.09) it was simple to set up theports required by the DVR. I also gave the DVR a static IP address on my network. However I can not get into the open ports from my phone app or any online port check tool. The error is always "Error: I could not see your service on 68.4.208.43 on port (90) - Reason: Connection timed out" or "Login timeout".Cox Customer Support has confirmed that the ports Ihave chosen are not blocked by them. Multiple reboots of the modem and DVR have not helped. The DVR isup and runningso there is a device ready to connect if a port is open. Netgear will not help since the responsibility for service is on Cox. Cox Customer Support cannot explain or suggest a fix for the errors. I cannot find an answer on any of the"online communities". Perhaps someone has seen this problem before? https://www.netgear.com/service-providers/products/cable/gateways/C6300BD-Cox.aspx?cid=wmt_netgear_organic2.6KViews0likes2CommentsOpening Ports
I am installing a Bobcat 300 Helium Miner. I have a Netgear CM500 cable modem (DOCIS 3.0) connected to the Cox cable, and an Apple Airport Extreme router connected to the cable modem. My Miner is connected to theEthernet port on the Airport Extreme. I have Cox residential 150 service. The Bobcat connects to the Helium network, and the hotspot is Huge Concrete Tortoise on the Helium Explorer, BUT the connection is RELAYED. Helium says that this is because port TCP:44158 is closed and that it needs to be open both inbound and outbound. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this? Anyone know where the closing of port 44158 is taking place? The Airport Extreme, the Netgear Cable Modem, Cox head? I have read the list of Cox filtered ports but 44158 is not one of the forbidden ports. Is this related to my being a residential customer? Any thoughts on resolution would be very helpful. I see on theHelium Expolrerthat many hotspots have this issue. Thanks! Bob888Views0likes0CommentsPort Forwarding for Assetto Corsa Competizione
I'm not sure if this is the place the ask but I will try anyways. I'm trying to create a dedicated server for the game Assetto Corsa Competizione. I noticed Cox has preset ports for some games which is cool, but not this one. Would anyone be able to help me to figure out what the correct ports are for this game? Thank you so much!882Views0likes0CommentsPort Forwarding
So I have read the many forums here and tried all the solution, however my seems to not work still. I have advance security off, I restarted my router, and I am using my desktop IP address. I am trying to run agameserver. It says the port has been set up and everything looks good on wifi.cox.com , but I checked on port checker sites and had someone try to connect to my server, but it won't work. )=809Views0likes0CommentsPort Forwarding via Cox App
PN: CGM4141COX <- guess that is the brand of modem. Start app and: WiFi settings-> X -> View WiFI equipment -> (Gateway Online) Advanced Settings -> Port Forwarding -> Add Port Forward -> Manual Setup -> Port # -> Protocol (TCP) -> Next -> Close And...doesn't work. canyouseeme gives me my ip...and can't see me. cannot connect to my ip via external device (in this case my smartphone using a web browser). I've done this many times before the app...and now the app...well is some secret extra step that I need to do? I connect my computer (Windows) to the CGM via wifi. That never made a difference before but IDK. Help please.79Views0likes4Comments
