Forward Voice Mail Messages to eMail?
Automatic forwarding of voice mail messages to an email account is a feature that is supposed to be included with my Cox telephone service. I have been trying to get this to work since mid-January, and have contacted technical services several times. They continue to tell me they are working on it, and will get back to me soon. I can't understand how a feature that is supposed to be included in my monthly service, can remain broken for over 2 1/2 months (so far.) Is anybody using this feature successfully?10KViews0likes9CommentsHome Phone voicemail (please help!)
Okay, so I just now hooked up a telephone on my phone essential and I would like to set up a voicemail. First things first, does a voicemail automatically come with my phone, i.e. do i have to pay for it? If so, i call *298 to set up my my voicemail and the operator says enter my mailbox number or just press # if i am using my own phone, which i am. Every time it says log in attempt failed. I have no idea how to even get into the system to set this up. any suggestions?Solved8.3KViews0likes6Commentsharassing phone calls from telemarketers and spammers
I am fed up, they call early in the morning and all day and night. There is no relief, except to pull the phone cord from my telephone, but then I miss important phone calls. Is there a charge, based on this, for changing my phone number? I am disabled, caring for a blind man and do not get enough sleep, at night because of intense chronic pain. I try to rest in the mornings or afternoons, but these callers keep calling, letting the phone ring, then hang up. Or they will wait til the answering machine and hang up. I sure need help in changing my number. It will be a hassle, for I will have to notify Medicare, disability and other important offices and people, but I need the peace. Thank you for your assistance in this matter...4.2KViews0likes2Commentsphone problem
I upgraded my phone service in June. About 10 days ago my phone stopped taking messages. If I call the line, MY greeting is absent. I get "the number...***-***-**** is unable to take your call. Please leave a message at the tone"I cannot retrieve any massages and it does not show on my screen that there are any messages. I bought a new phone, thinking that was the problem...same thing is happening. I have missed a few business calls and have no idea what else!3.1KViews0likes2CommentsStutter tone notification for new voicemails stopped working
I have had Cox Voicemail for years in Phoenix, AZ. Starting 2 weeks ago or so, the “stutter” beep stopped working to notify me if someone left a new voicemail. I called Cox and they re provisioned the phone. That did not fix it. As of right now, the only way I know if I have a new voicemail is if I check it by dialing *298. For days I wasn’t checking for new voicemail because no stutter beep came on when I picked up the phone to notify me of voicemails. Yet there were many new voicemails. Did Cox take away the stutter notification? If not, I need someone to fix this. So far, no one at Cox knows what is going on. PS: Yes, I know I can check for voicemails online or have them emailed to me, but I want the stutter notification as well to notify me of new voicemails.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsIs it possible to disable the voicemail stutter tone?
I have Cox Home Phone with visual voicemails forwarded to my email address as text. I love that. BUT, it leaves a stutter tone on my phones handset that is extremely load and grating to me. I'm wondering if there is a way for Cox to disable the stutter tone. I ONLY want to receive or manage my voicemails by email. I NEVER want to listen to them either online or on my phone. I'd hate to have to sign in to the cox website every single day to somehow mark and new voicemails as heard, and I will NEVER use the phone to retrieve them. I hope there's some solution. Thanks!909Views0likes1Comment
