I cannot access certain features of the website because it says my account is inactive. I have never had cox service ever until this address, so the moving to a new residence problem doesn't seem to fit. Can someone please help755Views0likes1CommentCox Security Suite Activation problem
I am triyng to download the antivirus and i get this: Cox Security Suite You are managing email address: null@ Cox Security Suite Activation Thank you for your interest in Cox Security Suite. To access this service, you must log in with the Primary Account Holder username and password for your account. The Primary Account Holder online identity is most often the User ID that belongs to the person who purchased your Cox services and whose name appears on the bill. To access Cox Security Suite, please log out and log in with the Primary Account Holder online identity. Please help2.3KViews0likes2CommentsDouble Billed due to EasyPay - How to resolve?
Hello, My account was billed twice. I think it's because I signed up for EasyPay and also manually paid just in case EasyPay would only work until the next billing period. How would I be able to resolve this issue, or will it just be a credit to the account? Thank you, Dominic Alhambra1.8KViews0likes1CommentUnable to process online payment
I have this weird message when i try to pay my bill online (using the web/app). It said that "We are unable to process your payment online. Please contact a Customer Care representative to make your payment". Anybody knows whats going on before i have to make the call to cox support (don't really really want to do this)? My bill is all current. Should I try different day or maybe their online payment server is down? Much appreciated3.7KViews0likes0CommentsCan I keep email address?
Can I keep my email address? The current account is in my name. However, I am not the homeowner. Am moving to a house where owner has Cox service. I would like to find out if I am able to transfer my email address to the new house when I move. Or do I loose that email address. Also the current homeowner wants to transfer the current Cox account into her name. I would pay the balance of what is owed prior. Is this person able to keep their email address account as well? She has contacts and emails that are important to her and this would be a major interruption in her life.2.4KViews0likes1CommentCox Data Usage Notification
I recently received an email stating the fact that we went over our allotted data plan.... When reviewing both the Cox Data Usage page and matching it with our routers Traffic Manager - Traffic Monitor - Cox's data was substantially over of what our router recorded. In fact not until this month did even the Cox usage page indicate over 200 GB of usage. Nothing has changed in our usage and our daily traffic Manager data does not even come close to what Cox has recorded for the month. Can you explain this to me.2.4KViews0likes0CommentsEZ Pay changes
I keep getting "technical" problem messages when I try to edit the credit card information on my account - this has been going on for several days. "An unexpected system error occurred. Please try again later." or "We're sorry, but our system is currently unavailable. For more information, contact customer support." - Customer support transferred me to technical support and another interminable wait time, but they suggested I return to customer support because I should be able to make this change online and the system is not down - so helpful!!! I've restarted, cleared cache - all the usual advice. STILL can't update the payment information. I've tried Internet Explorer and my usual Firefox browsers. I can't find a block that could be affecting it. WHO do I contact or HOW can I do it. I'd hate to be delinquent on an autopay account but it won't be because I didn't try to update it.4.2KViews0likes0Commentseasy pay headache!
I went online thinking I was paying a bill as I always do through one time payment. However, it appears I enrolled in Easy Pay instead, though this was the only option given to me at the time. I have contacted my cox representative like your FAQ's forum advised and I was told that I could not make this request over the phone but I could do it online or go to a cox service center. I have now been trying for about an hour to figure out how to cancel easy pay, since I have now already made a payment through one time pay, and have NOT been successful. I work full time and I don't have the time to make it to a service center before it closes. I need to get this canceled before the next billing cycle and make sure Cox doesn't charge me twice. Honestly, the customer service is horrible, the services are sub par and the prices are ridiculous. It's unfortunate that Cox has created such a monopoly on this area. If anyone has any advice on how to get this changed on my account, I am all ears.3.6KViews0likes1Commentkeep my e-mail account if I cancel my e-mail account?
Needless to say I've had it with slow service and no service so looking into switching. I have a TON of stuff saved on my account and want to know, if I shut down my cox account for my internet can I still use my cox e-mail, or do I have to pay to keep it?16KViews0likes7CommentsDetermining Primary account holder ID - Cox Security Suite
Does anyone know how to determine the Primary Account Holder ID? As far as I know, I am logged in as the Primary (and only authorized user) on my account. It is the ID listed on the Identity & Preferences page. When I attempt to access the Cox Security Suite page, I receive an error that in answer to another question, the moderator said is caused by not being logged in as the primary account holder. I have contacted Cox Technical Support three times (twice by email, once vial live chat) and they were no help. Both emails pointed me to an article about activating the software. The chat tech first pointed me to the same article. When I told her that didn't work, she sent me to the McAfee Virtual Technician which sent me back to Cox Technical Support since the security software is not on my computer. Since Technical Support has been no help, I thought I that I would try the issue from a different angle and stop assuming that ID listed in the Identity & Preferences page was the Primary account on my account.4.8KViews0likes3Comments
