Internet billing broken
I am supremely satisfied with my Cox Internet service, which I have had for over a decade. During that time I've had auto bill pay configured, and this has worked without a flaw until April. For some reason, it broke in April. I got a notice that the bill was not paid, and a $25 charge was added to my account for "returned payment". Since then I have spent countless hours on the phone, on Internet chat, and via Facebook and Twitter trying to do nothing more than get my bill paid. I'm now on month 2 of this problem. The internet tool will not pay my bill, I get "system error" with "try again later" almost every time. Nobody seems to be able to assist. Even when the tool seems to accept the payment as submitted, it's never billed, and I never get credit. Who can I contact to get this resolved? Your phone support people can't help me, they just want to take money for the current bill and charge me an extra $10 for the privilege. I need someone who can *fix the problem* so I can get my auto-bill-pay working again and get this stupid $25 charge off my account. I need to talk to someone who knows what they're doing.4.7KViews0likes10Commentsspam filter settings missing in new webmail
the new webmail ** I never wanted or asked for churched up webmail. I have had to setup multiple filters to block spam that (after many years of none) has started to inundate my account. I have had to create filters to keep known good email addresses and other criteria. now emails that came in just fine are going to my SPAM folder. problems is I disabled ALL my filters and certain emails still end up in the SPAM folder. specifically xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com (where x's are the phone number) marking them as "not spam" does nothing other than put them in my inbox. the old spam settings seem to have disappeared from settings.2KViews1like41CommentsOn Demand Movie Buffering and Freezing up
Every time I rent a movie the video freezes every 5 to 10 seconds like, it is buffering. I have spent $20 on movies I can't watch! Does anyone know how to fix this? I have unplugged the boxes, modem, router, reset video signal, called Cox tech support, no help!1.7KViews0likes1CommentTwo fried tvs
We've had two perfectly good tvs fried within 2 months of each other. Our main living room tv was 10 years old. Thought it was just old. We would get a black screen when we turned it on. Rather than go out and buy a new tv immediately, we brought in another one from a different room in the house. Tried to turn it on this morning and got the same exact black screen. What could be happening here? I'm beginning to think it has something to do with our cox equipment and not the tvs. We have a Cox provided modem+router combo and a cox contour boxwith this tv. All the other tvs in our house are fine. My husband is an electrician and has tested the outlet our surge protector goes into and confirmed power is fine.739Views0likes4Comments
