Cox Contour 3.1.2.0 Error Message
Our new Contour system keeps sending "Sorry, there is currently no TV signal detected for this channel..." message for random channels. Please note that our CLIENT box has no problem accessing these "No signal" channels when the message appears on the MAIN DVR box. A reboot sometimes helps, but not always. This Whole Home DVR system was installed a month ago. The full message appears below. Why is this happening? "Sorry, there is currently no TV signal detected for this channel. The channel may be temporarily off air. Please try again later. If the problem continues, please contact Cox Customer Service at (866) 961-1207. Reference 3.1.2.0 when calling. Alternatively, you can press the GUIDE button on your remote control to watch programs on other channels."21KViews0likes5CommentsAuto-Tune to HD doesn’t work
I do not know when this tatted, but relatively recently, my contour cable has stopped auto/tuning to HD. I knew about the setting and it randomly disappeared, I was looking for it because I was trying to turn it back on because I assumed it was turned off. I searched it up and learned they renamed it to “Prefer Best Available Resolution”, I checked the setting and it had been on the whole time but it still doesn’t work. An example of this is when I use voice commands to say a channel name, and it will take me to the standard definition version instead of the high definition version (i.e. saying “TV Land” will take me to Channel 58, not Channel 1058). When it automatically went to the HD Channel variant, it used to also say “auto tuning to HD Channel” or something similar to that. Another example is when I’m trying to look at a TV show to see if it’s on currently, and if I click “watch” it takes me to the standard definition channel (i.e. If I click “watch” so I can watch Seinfeld on TBS, it shows channel 49, not 1049. One thing I also just noticed is that it says “49 TBSHDP”, which I always assumed that the HD was meant to represent “Hight Definition”, but if 49 is high definition, then what is the point of 1049? Restarting my cable doesn’t work.9.1KViews0likes11CommentsWe Want BeIN Sports USA!
BeIN Sports USA is now the exclusive broadcaster of La Liga in the US. La Liga is one of the biggest football leagues in Europe and the home of the world's most popular football teams, Barcelona and Real Madrid. These two teams face off in arguably the best rivalry game, in all of sports, the "El Classico." And yet, BeIN Sports USA is not available on Cox. I have been forced to stream these great teams from sketchy websites, like many of you may have. Cox will likely never add this channel if we fail to show our undying love for this beautiful game and our enduring passion to see it at its best. So if you love football as much as I do and you want to see it performed at the greatest stage, here are a few things you can do to let your voice be heard. First, reply to this forum. The more replies we have, the more attention we will receive. One of the other BeIN posts have been "solved" and can no longer take replies - one of the reasons I decided to make my own. This is Cox's way ofquieting us. Do not let their cheap tactics stop you! Second, write your own post. What's better than one forum with a lot of replies? Multiple forums with a lot of replies. Your post does not have to be long and drawn out. Write your comment you used on a previous post if you have to. Just keep posting! Third, contact them directly. BeIN has a lovely website that will send Cox and any other TV provider, a request asking them to add BeIN to your channel lineup. Check it out here:http://www.beinsport.tv/bein-offer Use Social Networking! Twitter: @CoxComm Facebook: www.facebook.com/coxcommunications I do not know what phone number we can use to contact Cox yet, but I will certainly let you know via this forum post as soon as I find it. Fourth, get friends and family involved. Ask them to do all these steps and this cause will grow exponentially. Who knows how big this can become? If you made it this far in this post, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this. You must be as passionate as I am for this great sport. While I would truly appreciate a reply, know that that is simply not enough. We must show our support through all forms of communication through forums, emails, phone, Twitter andFacebook. And most importantly, remember to get others involved. Thanks again!7KViews0likes14CommentsWhat happened to the Sprout network?
My daughter and I went to start our morning routine with a little Sprout TV and the channel isn't on the guide anymore. In Southern California it is channel 342, and the guide skips from 340 to 345. Will it come back, or should I break it to my daughter that she can't watch her favorite shows on tv anymore?Solved5.9KViews0likes7CommentsMinibox Remote Problem
I went through the minibox activation process without any issues. I hooked the minibox up to a fairly new Samsung TV and went through all the steps. Everything was straightforward and simple. Then I tried to sync the new remote up to the TV and that's where I've had problems. I had no trouble finding the right Samsung code and the remote behaved just as the instructions said it should. (I tried all of the Samsung codes.) But that's where everything stopped. The new remote will turn the TV on, I can adjust the volume and I can mute, but that's it. When the TV is hooked up to the minibox it's stuck on the same channel it was on when I began the process. I can't change channels with the arrows or by entering the channel number. I can't access the COX channel, Guide or Info. with the new remote. But when I detach the minibox and go back to a direct cable connection to the TV everything works as it did before. I don't know if the new remote is defective or if there is a more complicated issue. I have retried activation 3 times and the results is always the same.4.6KViews0likes3CommentsAdd a channel to the lineup
I would just like to request or know how i can request a channel to be added to the lineup. I really don't want to leave Cox, but i will to get this channel. The channel is FUNimation, its a 24 hour anime channel and their website ishttp://www.funimation.com/ I'm not sure how many requests you get about this or for this channel but i know other providers that have this channel i just wouldn't want to switch because Cox is just too great.3.7KViews0likes1CommentION tv
Looking into resubscribing to cox for cable. One thing I've noticed is that some of the channels we watch fairly often will be going away. I'm talking about the ION tv digital channels. We get 4 of them ota, but it looks like cox only carries 1. We get 4 OETA channels ota, and cox offers all of them from what I noticed. Am I just overlooking them, or are they just not being broadcast?? I live in Oklahoma City, Okla.3.5KViews0likes1Comment
