Cannot Connect to the League of Legends LATAM Servers
Hello, After days of communication with the support team at Riot Games, we have come to the conclusion that it is just my personal internet connection that will not allow me to connect to their game servers. I can confirm this as I have been able to connect to the LATAM servers from other internet connections. Attached is a Tracert and I will also copy past the results below. Some help with resolving this issue would be great as i have been unable to connect for weeks now. Hi, My issue may be related to slow upload speeds on Xbox but I decided to create a new post since I only have a Playstation 4. I'm in Irvine, California and the connections drop once every 40 minutes to 60 minutes. If there's anybody out there who experienced a similar issue and managed to resolve it, please share. Thank you4.4KViews0likes0CommentsUpgraded to GIGABLAST. Disconnection, slow speeds, packet loss problems.
Hello, I upgraded to GIGABLAST and the Panoramic Modem/Router wasn't pulling speeds above 200-250mbps. Oftentimes it was within 20-45mbps range both wireless and wired with a CAT 6 cable. I was told to try getting my own modem/router and purchased a Cox certified cable modem a Netgear C7800 Nighthawk modem/router. The C7800 came with Firmware version V3.01.40 already installed. Cox recommends using version 01.38, but there is no way to access old or new firmware on the Netgear site as it says "Firmware upgrades are pushed down by your ISP." I had a tech support agent try to force a firmware downgrade, but it failed. The next day I was told by Cox & Netgear that is was the other's issue until I go them on the phone together and the Cox agent said he would resolve it. He told me having 01.40 wouldn't be an issue. -Will this be an issue going forward having 01.40 vs 01.38? Slow speed, packet loss, losing connection, etc. -How will I receive updates in the future? I also had a 2nd tech come to the house and inform me that there was low level loss coming from the Node which is overloaded and it would be addressed in 24-48 hours. Is the NODE the issue? I.E. packet loss, slow speeds, losing connection etc. Or is the firmware the issue or both? Thanks in advance!4.1KViews0likes9CommentsConstant internet disconnects/reconnects - Gigablast plan
Hello, I am reaching out because we have attempted everything we possibly can on our end to ensure a stable internet connection, but there are still frequent disconnects from day to day. These disconnections appear at any given time in the day, regardless of the amount of devices in use or the current bandwidth usage. When it disconnects it occurs on all devices. Waiting roughly 5-10 minutes the connection will come back online, but the frequency of it has become an issue. Equipment: Netgear CM1000 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem Asus RT-AC68U (AC1900) Router I have verified the firmware is up to date on both pieces of equipment. When the internet disconnects, the modem shows that the upstream, downstream, and the internet itself is connected. This only lasts for about 4-5 minutes until they reset, downstream then reconnects, upstream reconnects, and finally the internet reconnects and the overall connection to devices return. The problem can also be immediately resolved by pressing the reset button on the back of the modem When looking at the routers system log, the error that keeps appearing is: "WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly." Lastly, during these interruptions, I have disconnected the router and put the main ethernet line directly into my computer and despite the modem displaying the proper signals for connection, there was none. This will once again last roughly 4-5 minutes and the lights cycle themselves, and the connection returns. At this point, it feels as though Cox just cannot maintain a solid connection for their Gigablast plan in our area. (Mesa, AZ) I have called in about this, but alas they just reset the modem (of course it will work after as we have experimented with this here) and they called it fine and moved on with their day without much more support. For the price this plan is, there should not be these kinds of issues. If anyone could provide additional assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Any requests for additional information regarding the situation I will attempt to provide as quickly as possible. Thanks3.3KViews0likes1CommentNetgear CM1000 Randomly disconnects
I recently upgraded from 300mb to gigablast. Ever since my modem will lose connectionrandomly for a few minutes. The modem and router lights all still stay green when it happens. I logged into the modem and found a bunch of errors in the log which i can post later if allowed. It usually happens when 2 of us our playing video games, i am not sure if that has anything to do with it though. It kicks us from the lobby and its getting really annoying because I cant figure out what the issue is. The modem is about 2 years old now.1.8KViews1like3CommentsWhat do I do if I am being targeted by a DoS
Hello, I was targeted through out the weekend by a DoS attack and had other services attacked like my Linode VPS I have access too. So far I have resolved the Linode stuff as it was taken from me without permission by someone from Singapore, I have had multiple IP addresses from Singapore and around the world in other sketchy countries hitting my IP, I have tried resetting the modem in the hopes of getting a new external address but it doesn't provide me one. Is there anyone at Cox who can change my external address or expire the lease on the current address I have, I have talked to L1 support and they refused to get me to L2 without a valid reason (I would say this qualifies). Thanks1.8KViews0likes3CommentsInexistent Upload Speeds
I've been living in my new home for almost three months now. When I moved in, the houses were all wired for Cox internet. I went with the gigablast plan, as I need good internet to do what I do (streaming). At the beginning, the internet was great. After a week or so, I would have issues with the internet dropping upload speed for about an hour at a time. When I say they would drop, I mean they would basically be inexistent (dropping below 1mbps upload). Download speeds were always workable. Although, they are not the speeds I pay for, I can still live with it (usually around 400mbps). Anyway, one day it went out for three hours, so I decided to call a tech out. Upon arrival he stated that there was nothing he could do because he couldn't come inside my home due to COVID-19, understandable. There was then a long period of time where I had relatively no issues. Consistent 35 mbps upload. This past two weeks, the issue has resurfaced and not left. I was streaming one night and dropping over 75% of rendered frames due to network lag. I tested my speeds and got 0.2 mbps upload speed. I told myself, "Okay well it will fix itself in an hour or so, shouldn't be a big deal." An hour passed and it was still bad. I continued to test it every hour for 8 hours and it never stabilized. I called another tech out. They changed out some fittings and connections on the wires and said it was all good. I tested it while they were there and got 25 mbps upload, which is workable. Before they left, they told me that if the issue persists there's only two other things that could be causing the issue: The modem, or the main line (the one that runs to the telephone pole). Later that evening, I checked the speeds again and received 7 mbps upload speed. As a streamer, this concerned me because that is barely enough to stream on. I didn't want to take the risk because I would be dropping frames. This morning I tested it again and got 1 mbps upload, so I went to the Cox store and swapped modems. Came home, hooked up the modem, and got 0.4 mbps upload. I called out another tech to come out tomorrow morning, but it seems the issue is within the main line. I will update this post as I get more answers. Hopefully this issue is resolved in the near future.1.3KViews0likes6CommentsInternet is not stable
Hello I have been having issues ever since I moved to this new house. Cox had been working great with no issues whatsoever in the previous home. Unfortunately now we cant have a solid connection for more than 1 hour. It's a shame because we pay good money for wifi and use it for work. I have tried everything in my power to try and fix the issue having only a few devices connected at a time, moving the router closer to the middle of the house, checking all the wires. nothing seems to work, we also had multiple techs come in!!!. If I were to guess the issue is coming from the outdoor box but when you mention to them that your wifi is not working and want to sent a tech and the issue is not cox related they want to charge you! I mean my issue should've been fix the day I moved to the new place. When it does work less than 15 minutes they speed is amazing really fast1.3KViews0likes1Commentinternet drops at around same time every night
Hello, ever since upgrading our modem and router through Cox about a month ago, every night the internet briefly goes out then comes back on at around the same time (approx 7:30pm cst). It goes out for both the 1 ethernet user and the 1 wifi user. It comes back on within a few minutes, but it disconnects streams and games for both of the 2 users. When it isn't disconnecting, the internet speed is fine. I reset the modem through this website and manually, but I'm at my wit's end. We spent a lot of money to get better hardware with Cox but it's now interfering with streaming which is a source of income here. We've never had this issue before we'd "upgraded" our hardware.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsInternet service interrupted
Every single day for the past week or so there has been services interpretations/issues. So is this on purpose to get me to update my internet package? Or is it normal for daily iintruptions without outages in my area? Paying when i can only use half of a noticeably slowing down internet service is deeply troubling and disappointing.1KViews0likes1Comment
