Weird notification on Cox App
Hello guys, I been get pop ups on my cox wifi app saying that " A new device Sagemcom has connected to your home network" Now I do not recognize that device at all, I googled that device and it comes up as a router for some kind. I called Cox multiple times and was told that they were not to sure what it is. Now I have reset my wifi pass and also did a default to my modem/router (I have the white gig blast one) after that was done I got 15 pop ups on the wifi cox aps saying that " A new device called BE31472D6EB5 has connected to your home network. They are all not the same numbers all 15 are different. They are not Mac address and I did verify that with reps from cox. Today I got another popup from that Sagemcom device again has connected to my network. All 15 pop ups on the cox app about devices connecting did not come in at the same time. I am not sure if my router is hacked or if this is a cox issue. The cox app has notified me about them blocking a website 4 times on 4 different devices 2 phone and 1 PC and 1 Pad. The website is called H.parrable.com. I never have gone to that website at all and from what I am seeing it is malware. Not sure what to do.2.5KViews0likes14CommentsStrange NetGear device keeps joining my WIFI network without any credential access even after being paused multiple times.
I have a Cox panoramic wifi gateway CGM4140COM model. The wifi shut down most of the streaming devices in my house yesterday at once and I have no clue why. Cells and Contour still work. But I noticed on the Cox app this week a strange device connected to the network with no password or username approval and disconnected two seconds later. It is being broadcast as a general netgear device and I have tried to pause it numerous times on the Cox app but it gets around the pause each time and reconnects for short intervals. It is definitely a hack of some sort but I do not have a remedy. Can anyone help?699Views0likes3CommentsI recently cut service because i moved. i logged into pay my final bill and see my service address is in Arizona. Problem is... I never lived in Arizona. Good morning, The hacker gained access to the secondary cox email that we used with our Amazon account. By accessing the email account, the hacker was able to reset the password of our Amazon account. The hacker then replaced the Cox email address listed on the Amazon account with s103ml00d893q@bk.ru . I reported this to Amazon, they froze the account and after about 24 hours, restored everything. Our password to the Cox email account was 9 characters long, One uppercase, two numbers and one special character - it was not something that could've been guessed. The hacker placed two small digital purchases (probably games) through Amazon ($5.99 & $8.99) which my bank reversed after I disputed the charges. My neighbor experienced the same exact problem within the last few days - Cox email account compromised and used to access her Amazon account. The hacker also spent time resetting the password of an account I had with Steam (gaming) but I haven't used that in over 5 years so any credit card linked to it would've expired. I changed the password to our Cox email accounts and I setup the Amazon account to require two-step authentication through my cel phone. Clearly a breach of Cox's email system and one that should've been disclosed by Cox. I have reported the breach to the FCC.754Views0likes0CommentsWhy are you hacking my service?
Cox communications are thieves, they offer hacked services. They claim they offer double the speed that is a lie, the service I have is hacked by Cox communication employees. The McAfee Security is a Trojan horse that is connected to a malware/spyware server. The service I receive is hacked services. I am suppose to receive is double speed of 50 Mbps instead I receive less then 5 Mbps. Cox employees are accessing my computer putting unauthorized administrators, credentials, and passwords on my computer. They are performing daily Denial of Service attacks, fruggle attacks, drivebys and ping of death attacks on my service from Cox Abuse ip addresses 24.*.*.*. The so call Cox Abuse text message is "Multimedia messages are being sent to your device, but your device doesn't support these messages. Visit your nearest ... for new device options". I am told that Cox Abuse does not send text messages. So who is it sending the messages? The technician that came to my house a month ago claims I had a bad router, but when I put three new routers on my network, they were all hijacked by CoxCommunication Security who change the administrators name to BLAH, BLAH, changed the passwords, fixed the settings so that I could not reset the routers or gain access by remote to the routers, I was denied access to my new routers from a Cox Abuse IP address, Cox Abuse is sending text messages to my cellphone for illegal wiretaps on my cellphone service. Cox Communications always changed my password to my accounts on my computers, deleted partitions forcing me to re-install the system, delete evidence and logs from my computer with unauthorized credentials on all my system. They also hack my Cox account then claim that only the customer can change the password. Cox Communications offers cyber criminal services, I have proof that I am being cyber stalked, and cyber bullied by Cox Communications security personal or hackers employed by Cox Communications. I have proof of all the criminal activity that is preformed on my service on DVD, so deleted the information from my computers and usb's are a waste of time for the hackers. I have over 6000 pieces of evidence from the time my service was put on their trojan horse to the present. Cox claims my speed is doubled for faster internet service that is a sham, I am paying 80 dollars a month for, this fraud and malware/spyware services.Solved14KViews0likes12CommentsEmail was hacked - recipients known but not in address book
My email was hacked this past weekend. I understand how this can happen and have changed my password. I do have an I.T. degree but part of this is really throwing me off. I mainly use my Android phone for emails and occasionally use Outlook on my laptop. I last was in Outlook on my laptop 7 days ago. Over the weekend I began getting undelivered messages. Quite a few of the sent to email addresses are no where in address book and would not be addresses that would have been CC'd in any emails in recent history. One of them was actually an old Roadrunner account that was my personal email address over 6 years ago and have not used since. My laptop with Outlook is a few years old, purchased well after I closed that account. That address was never associated with this computer. I did not transfer any data from my computer that did have that email address and it is not in any address books, nor are many other addresses that were undeliverable. I contacted Tier 2 to attempt to get answers and hit a wall with 1 bad rep who seemed to not comprehend the situation and tried to blow it off as an Outlook issue. I am trying to understand how this is possible. I am trying to safeguard myself and those around me. I am vigilant with virus protection, visiting websites and I don't get spam email or open emails that I am not expecting. I would love input. At this time it feels like someone was able to access my entire history of emails over the past 6-7 years. The messages read "I love this;) ogyrik http://jnlmeatmarket.com/interest.com_5.HTML (RAND_WORD(EN,5,8)}?walez jljlyky". Any input would be highly appreciated!3KViews0likes2Comments
