Hdhomerun Prime only seeing local channels.
In live in Omaha, NE. I only have Cox Starter TV, but wanted to at least get TLC and TBS in HD (I don't like having to zoom up all the letter boxed shows on the analog channels). I got an Hdhomerun Prime to use with my Windows 7 Media Center PC, and picked up a cablecard & tuning adapter at a Cox Solutions store. I called the Cox's cablecard support. They said they activated the cablecard and it shows that it's successfully paired with my tuning adapter on their end. However, my Media Center PC still claims the cablecard isn't activated, and when I try to look at the Pairing Status on the Hdhomerun, it says I still need to call the cable company. When I do a scan, it only lists the local channels, Univision and QVC in HD... Doesn't list TBS or TLC HD at all (I'm looking for channels 1025 & 1027). Any suggestions besides continuing to call tech support? It'd be nice if I could get the problem taken care of myself or over the phone, as scheduling a time to have a tech come out would be difficult for a couple weeks, and it'd be nice to find a solution sooner rather than later. Thanks for any help or guidance. If I need to clarify anything more about my setup, let me know.Solved14KViews0likes17CommentsHDHomeRun Prime and Cisco TA authorization conflict: access = not-subscribed

I have an HD Homerun Prime device I use with a Cox cable card. I have used this setup for around 3 years now with no issues. The past couple of weeks all of my non local channels are not loading on the hdhomerun app. They say HDCP required to display. This has never been the case before. I use to be able to watch ESPN, TBS, etc without any issues. Now I can't even view these channels. I also use this with plex live/dvr and the channels will no longer load there either. Only my local channels. This is horrible. Is there anything I can do? A couple of months ago when I would call in Cox there was an automatic message asking if I was calling due to needing to update my cable card. I wonder if it has anything to do with that? I live in Louisiana.2.2KViews0likes4CommentsLost the ability to use Plex to DVR all non-OTA Cox channels - No ESPN, TMC, AMC, etc
I' ve lost the ability to use HD Homerun Prime (cable card) with Plex to DVR all non-OTA Cox channels - No ESPN, TMC, AMC, etc. All channels detected show up as 'Protected' in the Plex DVR setup menu. I am able to receive channel 1987 as warned last year, and still do. I've re-scanned channels through HD Homerun Prime, but to no avail. Any suggestions?812Views0likes0Comments
