Can't turn off coxwifi hotspot
Is there a way to disable the coxwifi hotspot? I realize this is not my main network, but I really don't want random people in my neighborhood using my modem's hardware resources. I tried disabling the hotspot in my privacy profile, the modem restarts but the hotspot remains. I know it's not coming from one of my neighbors because it disappears if I unplug the modem.Hotspot Connection Issues
I have been able to successfully connect to a mobile hotspot for awhile now, but, over the past few days, I have not been able to connect to it. The network, "Cox WiFi," still appears on the list of available networks. It also has three bars, indicating that there is a strong signal. Whenever I click on it to connect, it does not connect. The "waiting wheel" continues to spin. I have tried "forgetting the network," connecting multiple devices to the network, and restarting all devices before trying to connect to the network again, but I have not been successful. I would greatly appreciate any troubleshooting tips, or for the hotspot to be fixed. Thank you!
Anyone else fire stick being blocked by hot spot (not home wifi)
I called Cox about this situation and told me recently Cox banned all fire sticks on their hotspot, before this issue i could log in to my hotspot and use my fire stick no problem, now im getting blocked by cox most likely by my fire sticks mac address. When i mention hot spot , its not my wifi with access to router but the actual hotspot that is available all over the U.S
After outage, Cox WiFi Hotspot works on chromebook but not iPhone or Mac
Last night around midnight, the cox wifi hotspot that I use at my house (currently looking for new router) stopped worked. It started working again this afternoon but only on the two chromebooks- not on the mac or iPhone. Can anyone explain how to fix this? I've tried forgetting the network and restarting on both devices but it still doesn't work. On the MacBook it first days "wifi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet" then later will say "Wifi has self assigned IP address 169.xxx.xxx.xx and will not be able to connect to the internet". I thought maybe I had too many devices connected so I turned off the wifi on my phone. Still doesn't work.
Hotspot Outage
I have been trying to report a Hotspot outage in my area. It has been out for about three weeks now. Where or how can I report this outage? (Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201). I have used this hotspot consistently in the past. Now when I try to connect I get (no internet connectivity). Please fix it. THANKS!
