Disconnected from Live TV thru Cox TV Connect - SHAKEDOWN
Recently, Cox changed the rules for who can get Live TV on their iPad thru the TV Connect App. I have had access to Live TV for about 6 months until a few days ago, you have to have TV Essentials or higher and Internet Preferred or higher. I have Internet Essentials, so they cut me off Live TV. Did anyone else go thru this? I called Customer Service, and to get the service back, they want me to pay more money to get the Internet Preferred. Feels like Cox is shaking me down. What are the settings please for setting up the iphone 5 with my business account which has its own domain name? I got my e-mail set up for my cox.net e-mail account and my gmail account. I can receive email at my domain name but I can't figure out the settings to send e-mail from my domain name???? Hi, we're new to Cox cable and have Contour, however I have had many issues with the iPad Contour app. It's VERY slow, and after about 1-2 minutes, it crashes. Every time. I recently got Contour in my home, loaded the app on my iPhone 6s (ios 10.2.1) and my iPad Air (ios 10.2.1). When I try to log in, I get an HTTP error on the both devices (HTTP Status 500 server encountered an internal error) from idm.east.cox.net. Same problem has been going on for 2-3 weeks. I have reset both devices several times, uninstalled and reinstalled the app on both devices several times with no success. I was just told by a support chat person that the Contour 2 App is down for "almost everyone" due to a "maintenance issue". True? Or if not, what is going on? I got a telemarketing call from Cox yesterday as a former cable subscriber for the Contour app. Then I find I can't get the app on Apple TV and I can't mirror it from my old iphone (I want to be able to use my newer iphone) and my old ipad can't play it either. So I'm watching tv on an itty bitty iphone 4S. What is the best way to watch Contour 2 where you can actually see the screen? Or have you found a better technology? I like Hulu, but thought this might fill in the gaps hulu doesn't fill. Like Quantico. But Quantico is missing episodes 1 and 2 of the season. Which doesn't make sense since it was able to load later episodes in the season. I see other shows missing episodes, too. Cox tried to say it wasn't their fault, it's the On Demand system. Issues and concerns not addressed. Empathy or concessions was not provided nor was any ownership taken. The worst experience i have is always with cox and chat support. Horrible. I had moved service 4 months ago. Since then i have contacted cox on numerous occasions about the lies and broken promises via chat and service issues. No one in the chat department cares or even attempts to help besides "i can troubleshoot" The tech who installed my service lied about everything possible. I requested my home to be rewired, told with panoramic its not.needed and its the best offered..lies...lies..I have the ultimate package. Which recommended amount of devices 7-9. With this "upgrade" the tech provided 6 of the 7-9 slots are taken by cox devices. That is more than 50%! If the tect was honest and wanted to have a satisfied customer, he would have not suggested this knowing how many devices i have I work from home and every moment i spend rebooting, troubleshooting and contacting cox cost me money and it is now affecting my livelihood and my children.Solved3.5KViews0likes6CommentsCox iOS Cloud Drive App - Two Issues
There is a problem with the Cox iOS Cloud Drive app on my iPod Touch Fifth Generation which I reported to Cox Level 1 Support. They were able to replicate this issue on their Test iPhone and escalated it to Cox Level 2 Support (ticket # 306768). The problem is that I can view all online file directories on my iPod, but when I click on any of the high resolution uploaded images and view them on my iPod, each and every image appears blurred, although these same images are sharp when viewed on my laptop. Also, when I try to download these images on my iPod, I receive confirmation that the file has been downloaded, but I cannot find the image in my iPod Photo Directory or elsewhere on my iPod. Cox Level 1 support has duplicated this problem. I have set File Upload Quality in the in the Cox Cloud Drive Settings to maximum for both images and videos, but this has not resolved this problem. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Has Cox App developers been notified? i updated my iphone 4s and ipad to ios6, and now they wont connect to home wifi. my iphone 4s does connect to wifi at work, so i know it can work, and our iphone 4 (also updated to ios6) connects to home wifi, so i know home wifi works. already changed all router settings to apple's recommendations, that didnt fix it if i restore factory defaults to the router, then, and only then, will it connect...but that's no good either... i cant even change the name of the network, and instantly it stops working. have a belkin n600 router any ideas?3.2KViews0likes0Comments
