long distance charges
I was charged long distance dialing from 619 area code to 858. All of this is within San Diego county, in fact 858 used to be part of the 619 area code. How can this possibly be long distance? Parts of the city of San Diego are 858, so a city bordering mine is long distance? After 25+ minutes on the phone, your support sent me a link, when I looked at the link it was about voicemail. major fail. How can I tell what calls will be long distance?3.9KViews0likes1CommentCurrent customer and denied options
I have been with Cox for about 3 years now and have never made a long distance phone call on my phone and when I switched from the other company, I remember specifically requesting that no long distance phone calls be allowed to be made from my phone because of children playing or mistakenly usage. Unfortunately I was out of town for two weeks and my mother and mother-in-law made various phone calls to Brazil without my authorization. I contacted Cox to see about a possibility of adding a retroactive long distance service in order to lower this bill and I was denied. I, in fact, do NOT feel responsible for this bill since it was understood between COX and I that the phone was NOT to complete long distance calls to anywhere. They were to impose a BLOCK on my home line. Can someone let me know what are my options, if any?3.3KViews0likes3CommentsCan only call six countries w/Simply "Worldwide" ??
I am curious about Cox phone service, particularly international long distance rates. I already have Cox internet service. https://www.cox.com/residential/phone/long-distance.html When I set zip code to 44116 (my zip code) in top right of page - Mexico, Canada, U.K, Philippines, Germany, Italy - that's it. I noticed if I change Zip to another market like 85705 (Tuscon, AZ) that there is a searchable list of hundreds of countries. How come my market is limited to six countries? I contacted Cox Sales department and the representative couldn't explain the restrictions for my zip code.2.6KViews0likes1CommentHave had unknown long distance telephone charges for calls we did not make. Cox refuses to acknowledge they have a problem. What can I do.
We have had two calls on bill that we did not make. Cox says they came from our phone. One person even said anyone can use our phone (I assume they meant with our permission), but we did not give permission for the calls and were unaware that they were made. They were both to Arkansas. But, last month one was made to Topeka, KS that we didn't make. Why does this keep happening?2KViews0likes1Comment
