NOMOROBO STOPS UNWANTED ILLEGAL ROBO CALLS - WHY DOES COX NOT OFFER THIS FEATURE?
Cox Communications does not listen to its customers I have been one over for over 25 years and they will not listen to me or anyone on this issue. I suspect once they see this thread they will immediately lock it so that the thousands of customers who have a problem with robo calls (for which cox offers ancient non working solutions) cannot comment. Cox claims they cannot offer "Simultaneous Ring" which they can but simply refuse to do, if they tell you anything to the contrary its complete fiction. Every other voip company has it and all of them also offer nomorobo so that the calls we get from India etc. are blocked. Cox will say "sign up for the national do not call list". That will not work for you because the calls are from outside the USA. Cox knows this but does not care they just spew garbage at us. Cox will also say they have selective call blocking (they charge for this feature) and you can block up to 30 numbers or some nonsense. That also will not work even if you could block unlimited numbers you would get the same amount of robo calls always from a different number so here we can establish that cox is not consumer focused they are revinue focused they want to sell us a feature that does not even work. COX Corporate customer service was not helpful either they spew the same garbage at us. Now COX, do what you do best and lock this thread. Hide your heads in the sand like ostriches. Hide under your desks and pretend this is all going to just go away...28KViews0likes17CommentsPhone Tools Inaccessible
I have enjoyed and benefited from the Cox Phone Tools Call History for a long while. Now, when I try to open it to view recent calls I'm faced with a "We've created a better experience but we'll need to update your browser first" followed by icons of several browsers, but not the one I use called Pale Moon (a variation of Firefox). At that point I'm stuck...can't access the Phone Tools, can't 'update' my own browser...completely foiled. What's going on with that? Why did Cox techs choose to list a few of the many browsers for 'updating' and thus deny all other browsers access to the Phone Tools site? Seems that if any and all browsers need to be 'updated' to enjoy the "better experience" that Cox would have listed one and all for the Cox prescribed update. Can this be fixed?15KViews1like20CommentsNO PHONE DONT CARE.......

Hi, I have been using my TIVO Romio (and mini) for a few years on Cox with no real issues. Recently (last Saturday) I went to my PAC12 channel and received this message "This channel is temporarily unavailable, Press select to try tuning to this channel again. Contact your cable provider for more information" The issue extends to several channels, all above 1154. This is not every channel but most of them. This is impacting even my premium channels as well (not HBO on channel 1300 though). I validated that the channel does work on the cox box that I have elsewhere in the house. I have rebooted both the romio and the mini several times, checked at different times of day to see if that was an issue and so far nothing works. Hoping there is a solution out there.4.1KViews0likes5CommentsConnection Dropping Randomly
I don't know what is going on with Cox internet, but my connection is dropping randomly for the last several days and it's not my equipment. There are no splitters in the room where the modem is located. I've tried getting help from @CoxHelp account on Twitter and those people kept insisting it's my equipment when I know it isn't. Here are the most recent logs/info from my Surfboard 6121 modem:3.6KViews0likes9CommentsFOURTH DAY OF OUTAGE/INTERMITTENT SERVICE
Why am I paying top dollar for this crappy 200 mpbs service? I am using an approved DOCSIS 3 modem and have already had a technician out to replace the ENTIRE strand of COAX from the box to the modem., and another technician come out and verify the signal strength. This is a SIGNAL or switching problem and I am not getting what I am paying for! What is wrong with this company? For the last two days On Demand has been out, down, not working. I called last night and heard a recorded message that it was not working and engineers were working on it. One of the most prime nights for watching a movie for working people, and its unavailable. Tonight we tried again to the same thing; not working. I called tech support and was told there is a nationwide outage. When I began to complain about this and said I wanted my bill prorated, wait, wait, wait for it... I was told "You do not pay for On Demand, you are not billed for it". HUH? I asked for a supervisor, and he recited the same rote line. How unbelievably smug of Cox to tell paying customers, "On Demand is not a line item on your bill, therefore we don't have any responsibility to deliver this to you". Following this logic, Cox no responsibility at all for anything that may or may not come out of that box. So, that $300 a month I pay to them is to have these little boxes sitting here telling the time, and the time doesn't even have to be correct, we don't charge you for that! This has got to be one of the biggest "fu" to customers I have ever heard. I had "Contour" foisted on me and it has been NOTHING BUT JUNK since it was installed. Now COX has taken the stance that if its not a line item, we owe you nothing. Wow. I'm done.2.5KViews0likes1CommentWhy is my internet never reliable?
My family has used Cox internet for years, but we never seem to have reliable service. I honestly don't know why we've stayed on so long. We've done troubleshooting and tests and every one of Cox's recommended tips, but nothing sticks. In the past five years, we've replaced routers 4 or 5 times and we've changed modems 1 or 2 times. Within the past few years, it's gotten really irritating. With one high school student and one college student constantly trying to do homework, we really need wifi. It used to just go through spurts where it would work fine for a few weeks, then go crazy and quit for a day. Recently though it's almost unbearable. At least once a day we have to unplug the router and modem and restart them because they stop working. I finally decided to try posting on the forum because today we've tried restarting 6 times and it only works for about 15 minutes at a time. I've read tons of articles and forum posts, but they all offer the same few pieces of advice, and none of it is working. I'm still not sure if it's the router, modem, Cox, or maybe even the weather because our service is extremely unpredictable and nothing is working. I don't know what to do and no amount of Google searches has helped.2.3KViews0likes1Comment
