Why no defense against spam calls, and robocalls??
I have a Cox account that includes both internet, and phone service, but I am slammed by constant, endless spam phone calls despite being on the "Do Not Call" list, and I am sick of answering the phone 20 times a day to find out that it is another robot, recorded message calling me. I would love to be able to defend against this with the NoMoRobo software, but Cox does not support it.... This is frustrating because Cox Cable has repeatedly raised my monthly rates for service, and they seem to be completely detached from the real world as far as features go. PLEASE Cox, join the rest of the world in the 21st century, and stop blocking EVERYTHING except spam!!17KViews0likes17CommentsWe have a dial tone, but the other line can’t hear me at certain times a day
For the past week, the only time my phone fully works is from 2p-8p. The rest of the day, I HAVE a dial tone but no one can hear me. I can hear the other person perfectly, but they can’t hear anything I say. Just silence. During that time, my message system voice is all garbled and I can’t hear my voicemails. I have a Panasonic KX-TGF380, I’ve tried calls using the base phone, as well as the other 2 cordless phones but nothing. Cox has sent out 3 servicemen but they have zero clue. They have completely switched and given us new lines and new modems and everything. Any ideas or help? Happening to anyone else?8.8KViews0likes3CommentsI need a nomorobo number in the 520 (Tucson) area code
I can't find any way to talk to nomorobo human-to-human, and Cox isn't able to provide, but I need a 520 area code (Tucson) number to use for the simulaneous ring for nomorobo. The one I was provided is a 602 number, and I'm being charged for each call intercepted as a long distance call to Phoenix. Are there any users in Tucson that have a 520 number they are using for the service?8.1KViews0likes2CommentsIssue with Nomorobo using Simultaneous Ringing
Ok after several attempts to try and get Nomorobo set up found out that the Simultaneous Ringing is not available yet! According to Cox Chat told me "Chris R.:Joanne, I have checked your account, in this case, I am sorry to tell you that simultaneous ring neither Nomorobo are available in your area, please check your bill statement every month in order to see when it is enabled. We are working as quick as we can in order to give all our customers this benefits in the closest future. However, there is not an estimated time". So now I left to wonder why it is listed in phone features but yet not available and they don't know when it will be?6.9KViews0likes7CommentsHow does Phone Tools work? Can I use it to view my Call History?
Phone Tools is a handy, online application that gives you lots of info around your incoming and outgoing calls. You can view calling activity and details such as: Date/Time To / From Number Name (of the calling party) Additional Info (such as, call forwarded and missed) You can learn more about how to access Phone Tools, and how to manage your calling activity by checking out our Phone Tools Features and Benefits support article.4.7KViews0likes0CommentsAccessing my Cox digital phone line from my Desktop a'la VOIP (e.g., Google Voice)
Greetings, (unfortunately, I may already know the answer to my question, based on failed forum searches, and a Chat conversation with Cox tech support... but I'll ask, just in case) I currently use Google Voice to make and receive calls from a software interface running in my web browser. I have a regular headset connected to the audio jacks on my PC, and this solution is seamless with other uses of the headset. Feature-wise, this is a great solution for my needs. In practice, however, I have a couple of problems that I am tired of dealing with (latency/lag, and complaints from my co-workers that when I am connected to a conference call via this interface, there is unacceptable background noise). I would like to have the same capability from my Cox digital phone service. In other words, I want an interface from my desktop (browser-based, or otherwise) that will allow me to make and receive calls over my Cox service. Does that interface exist? Thanks. - s.west4.7KViews0likes2Comments
