How to get my money back?
I overpaid my COX bill before moving, and COX sent the refund check to my previous address after I moved. I want COX to resend the check to my new address, but the online agent doesn't have any option to select to do that. How do I do now? How could I get my money back?Solved63Views0likes1CommentCox Rep lied to me
When I was setting up my account 6 months ago, I was told I would need to enter a 1 year service agreement to get the internet speeds I wanted. Im a seasonal firefighter and I'd only need services for 6 months. I told this to the representative and I was assured that there was not going to be a cancellation fee because Cox doesn't provide services in the area I work. This sounded strange to me and I repeatedly asked for her guarantee that was true. She acted annoyed that I didn't believe her and she told me it was Cox policy. Here I am 6 months later, I cancelled my services and am being charged 65 dollars for cancelling early. When I brought up my interaction with the earlier representative, I was told that I was lying and that no one would say that. Pretty infuriating interaction. Not sure what recourse I have if any.1.6KViews0likes4CommentsHow do I file a complaint for refund?
I have had 1000Mb internet service for almost a year and we have complained many times and had many Cox representatives out to fix the issue. A month ago we found out we did not have the correct box on our pole. I want to be refunded the money we paid for service we did not receive. I cannot find on the website a place to do this.597Views0likes2CommentsConstant outages in our area that go on for hours at a time, I’m new to cox - is this something that happens all the time?
We are still new to cox (about 2 months now) and have had at least 5-6 outages in our area since we started service....is this common? Seems to happen when I need internet access the most and it’s getting to be super frustrating. Is there a refund system in place for not being able to access my Cox services? It wouldn’t be a big deal if it was just once or twice but now it’s becoming ridiculous.828Views0likes1CommentFOURTH DAY OF OUTAGE/INTERMITTENT SERVICE
Why am I paying top dollar for this crappy 200 mpbs service? I am using an approved DOCSIS 3 modem and have already had a technician out to replace the ENTIRE strand of COAX from the box to the modem., and another technician come out and verify the signal strength. This is a SIGNAL or switching problem and I am not getting what I am paying for! What is wrong with this company? For those who overpaid on their cox bill and got confused.
Advice from paralegal! Record your phone conversations when you start talking with the phone rep. Be nice, and ask politely for them to issue the base amount that you overpaid. Basically what happen to me, is that the first time I called and wanted to record my conversation with them she said no I can't. Actually, cox, if you start to record conversations the customer has the right to record. They said they will issue me a check for $117.86 that takes about three weeks. October 5th is when I am expecting it to arrive. If they don't issue you a check. You can take them to small claims for for money damages awarded in your favor. Customers have rights too!10KViews0likes7CommentsRefund
All, Is anyone else having problems getting refunds for Cox disconnected service? I disconnected my service in July and have called Cox at least half a dozen times trying to get my refund. They have an excuse every time I call, and today I was told that there was nothing they could do and I won't be getting my money back. I am owed over $50. I am about to file a complaint with the BBB and local authorities, as this is certainly illegal. Has anyone else experienced this and actually been able to get their money rightfully refunded?2.2KViews0likes1CommentWill I Ever See My Refund?
I have been a long-time customer and never had an issue until now. Last May, I disconnected my cable service since I'm hardly home anyway and I just use Netflix. They NEVER informed me that I had to return my cable box so when the bill was due at the end of the month, they took $200+ through EasyPay. When I learned about it, I returned my cable box to the Cox store THAT VERY SAME DAY and was promised a refund. What I got was an account credit. I called them again to ask for the refund back to my credit card. I don't want a credit and I pay my bills on time anyway (again, I was on EasyPay). The agent I spoke with said I'll see the refund in my bank account 3-5 business days processing time. This was first week of June. Now we're in July and I've spoken with at least 4 customer service agents already – the refund is still nowhere to be found. They've kept the credit on my account and even took June's bill out of it. I called again on June 17 and the agent said that a check will be mailed to me on June 20. After this phone call, they took out the credit on my Cox account. I was just curious why they didn't just credit it back to the credit card they charged in the first place? I feel like that would've been easier for everyone involved. It's now the 1st of July. I don't think the post office will take THIS long. I called again this morning. The agent Amber was borderline RUDE. She kept telling me they don't send refund checks, only store credits. So I guess all the previous agents were lying to me? Then she backtracks saying it will take 4-5 weeks processing time for the refund check so I should wait a couple more weeks. Again, the agent I spoke to before her said that the check had been mailed on June 20. At this point, I don't know who is telling the truth and who just saying things so I'd get off the phone. Honestly, I just want my money back that Cox shouldn't have charged me to begin with. I think this has gone long enough. Anyone else have a similar experience? How did you guys resolve it?5.4KViews0likes4CommentsGetting a refund
I ended Cox services on 9/18 and was told I would receive a credit of $107 due to having already paid my bill for the month prior to disconnecting. I was just wondering how long it would take to receive this credit. I received the bill in the mail that showed the credit, but I'm guessing I'm supposed to receive a check? I wasn't signed up for bill pay so Cox doesn't have my bank account information to do an electronic transfer. Anyone else had to wait for a refund and can give me an idea as to how long it will take?3.4KViews0likes0Comments
