Cox HS Router and my Airport Extreme Router
So tomorrow, I'm supposed to have a guy come out and possibly install Cox HS (Home Security). I told the sales guy that in NO WAY shape or form were they to mess with my existing Airport Extreme router and they said they could do it without touching it. I asked if I was getting a seperate line ( meaning modem and router) just for the Cox HS. THe sales guy couldn't answer. So I'm asking those who have Cox HS....do they install a seperate line for this service?4.3KViews0likes1CommentLogging in to arris router
Hello I have an arris dg2460 router and I cannot log into the router settings. I have factory reset it and tried the default admin/password combo but it says invalid username or password please enter the network key on the router. I have entered this too and get the same message. I saw a post around here to use the last 8 of the serial number, this too has the same result. Anyone have this issue or have advice?2.9KViews1like0CommentsBuying my own Modem (panaroma user)
I am looking to buy my own modem and router combo for the Gig speeds for Cox due to the issues I am having streaming on twitch. For some reason I am not getting the speeds when streaming, but getting the speeds doing everything else. I did a little research and found there is a certain software the panaromic modems use that interfere with the connection with Twitch. I am looking to purchase theCM600 is a DOCSIS 3.0from Netgear and was just wondering if anyone has purchased this one. Also, is it compatible with Cox here in Oklahoma. If anyone has any information, please let me know. 980 mbps down 50 mbps up is what I am getting right now and I cannot stream with Twitch. -Sean788Views0likes1Comment2nd router address on single SSID?
I am having a problem where a few of my devices do not have webconnectivity over Wi-Fi when most of the rest do. I notice all the devices that have a connectivity issue show a router address of 192.168.48.1 and the device have an IP address of 192.168.48.xxx. However, the working devices are point to 192.168.0.1, which is the correct address I see when I log into the gateway. It seems like the Cox equipment has a second router that does not fully connect to the web. I also see that sometimes my iPhone starts with a correct IP address and then it changes in an hour or two to a bad address. One finalcomplexity is my phone still connects to Apple Music and is able to stream music with the 'bad' IP address, but most other apps have not connectivity. I can manually enter a correct IP address but would like to understand what's going on. I've done all the possible resets and unplugging multiple times and even gotten a new gateway from Cox. The issue persists. Any help is appreciated.627Views0likes2Comments
